Facebook flagging new site as spam!!!

Hi all!

Just started work on a new site for an artist friend and his 2 month old, newly created domain with his name is bizarrely being flagged as a spam link! There hasn't even been a website on this domain yet and it's the only domain in his client area.

Facebook aren't responding to any of my numerous messages and I can't find any other information about this issue that's relevant to a completely new domain.

Any suggestions please? Any help massively appreciated.

are you able to provide more information such as the actual page or domain? There could be numerous reasons why. I wouldnt hold your breath with FB responding either.

Facebook flag people when they share blog links more then normal posting. So try to share other things as well in your post to keep balance and try to maintain it. If you share your website and Facebook page name here in your question, people may look to evaluate your problem better!

I would contact facebook and see if there are tons of link going to the domain name on the fanpage, like Ali said Facebook do not like too much links going to the same place, also could be people complaining.

I reported the problem to the Support forum via my Developer account. Within 2 hours the ban was lifted. Phew!

Normally , why it happens means If any one of fb user reported our links as spam continuously . Then fb automatically shows that link as Spam.

    My Suggestion:
Use short url services to share your website in social media.
So that it wont happen again.
    Thanks

If you want to work around this, one step you can take is to use TrendMicro. Facebook trusts TrendMicro to help managed URL safety. I had problems with my own URL and after spending a lot of times reporting it as a "safe business URL", I finally got the URL fixed with TrendMicro which also fixed it with Facebook. The link to the form to check is here:

        Trend Micro Site Safety Center

If your URL is reporting as safe but still flagging malicious, send Facebook a support request in the support dashboard which you can get to through Facebook ads.

A URL flagging malicious is a critical problem which can crush your traffic but also one that can be overcome with persistence!
