New Company name- where to secure it on internet

Hi all,

I am looking for some advice. I have a new company unique name. Where are all the first places to go to secure it across different sites? I have twitter, pinterest, facebook, twubs (registered hashtag)and have tried on youtube. (cant make unique name, just channel- help)

What others do you all secure the name? I want to go ahead and do all this while I am developing my site.

    Are you looking something like a business name generator? a unique one?

    Do you mean to secure it as a sort of brand for your business? Good idea to do that while still developing your site. I read that you want to make sure your name is both visible AND viewable... this article suggests that beyond "securing" your name around the various social media sites, but to also build it withing your website (with a blog and promotional content). Theres also something in it about letting your logo grow... Sounds about up your alley.

      I found a site called knowem.com that has a list. It has everything I was looking for

      My site will be built in about a month so I am just trying to secure the name everywhere I can.
