Where, how many do I place into each blog posting, tweet, Facebook post and Google+ posts?

Should I start putting the Hashtags into my Wordpress blog tags?

In any post should the tags be located at the beginning or the end?

thanks again guys you are really helping me get a hand on this stuff!!

Place your hashtag in the beginning and use only 1 per tweet.

Can't hurt. Just leave off the "#."

The beginning is better. All the hashtag does is make your post show up when someone searches for that particular hashtag at www.search.twitter.com or any of the hashtag search engines. Putting it in the front of your message just makes your tweet appear neater.

To find active hashtags use www.hashtags.org or Hashtagify.me

Use www.buzzsumo.com or similar sites to find viral content in your niche. Tweet this content out to hashtags in your niche to get real, targeted followers.

Once you have followers just keep doing what you're doing only now you can sneak in a self-promotional tweet at a 1:5 ratio. Just don't link your followers directly to a sales page. Always link them to your content. They aren't in buying mode so linking to a product page will just cause them to unfollow you.

On the whole, you get what you pay for.

Thanks a ton for that buzzsumo link, I've never used that tool. This gives me some great ideas for content! Thumbs up, thanks.

No problem I love that site. Great sites like these tend to become membership sites over time but this is one I wouldn't mind paying for.

There are others like this one too.

Hashtags amm... Nice but i normally use these hashtags carefully because if we use hashtags on every single tweet then people don't give much importance to our tweets.
I've never lost followers from using hashtags. It's expected. Just make sure the hashtag is relevant to your tweet.

The goal with Twitter isn't to sell products. The goal is to build a brand. You want people to think of you when they need a product you sell, ie, when they go into buying mode.

The best way to do that in a social-meda setting is to make their lives a little bit easier.

Don't underestimate the power of association. You might not be exposing them to your product, but over time you will create a subconscious effect whereby they always see your brand associated with good information on your niche.

        Niche authority always = money.

Great tools but do you have a site that lists trending Hashtags or hot hashtags (measured by number of mentions)? The list you sent just mention content based on hashtag.

You seem to know a lot about this, I would like more details, can you give example of how a post containing hashtags would look?

So if my business deals with social media do I do it like this?

#social media "retweet viral content related to social media" "my link here"

      ?

ALSO do you only use on Twitter?

If you like to use hashtags then just follow some rules:

    Just use on Twitter
Do your research (use popular one)
Don't use too many words in Hashtags
Don't use too many Hashtags in one tweet
Don't use the same Hashtags in every other tweet

You need to understand that hashtags and tags are different thing. using hashtag in wordpress blog will not give you results of twitter hashtags is a feature of twitter. for wordpress content you need to choose right keyword to tag (not hashtag)

people who are looking for information doesn't bother where the twitter hashtag is placed in a sentence. But i think placing hashtag in the beginning of the sentence looks good.

I've noticed people are using hashtags on Google+ and Facebook.

What is the benefit of this?

The same benefit as twitter hashtags, by clicking the hashtag you will go to related posts.

  • The hashtage was originally intended to help Twitter index their content. But ever since they've adopted broad matches for keyword targeting
    https://blog.twitter.com/2013/introd...word-targeting
, using your keyword as a hashtag really doesn't matter. You can still use it for branding though, just keep it relevant.

Hash-tags are very useful for giving additional information about your post and related context.

Hashtags are important to reach more people with similar interest who are not friends with, but to keep value of your hashtags you must use less hashtages at proper times. using more than 2 or 3 hashtag in one status update or tweet is not good.
