Facebook Ad Targeting Question

My target demographic is People born in South Africa who now live in Australia. I can do a search using this demographic but I can't work out how to target them with an ad. Is there any way to do this on FB?

    One option is to follow the things below...

    First, find active Facebook groups that are related to South African topics, particularly those with large active membership bases, especially South African-related Facebook groups that are about your target niches, i.e. In the dating niche, you can find South African dating Facebook groups...

    Second, gather the UIDs (user IDs) of the members of those Facebook groups. There are tools that you can use to do this -- We use Social Lead Freak, which is just one of the many tools that you can use to find niche-related Facebook groups and get the UIDs of the members of those Facebook groups. Use these UIDs to create a custom audience via Facebook Power Editor...

    Third, when you use this custom audience as the target audience of your Facebook ads -- Filter the custom audience by entering Australia as the target country...

        In Social Lead Freak (and in other tools) -- You can search for niche-related events, activities and posts in Facebook, i.e. South African cultural events and activities in Australia that have been posted in Facebook, as well as posts of individual Facebook users about South African cultural events, activities and other related topics in Australia...

        These tools allow you to get the UIDs of the Facebook members that posted in those Facebook event / activity announcements, as well as the UIDs of the Facebook members that posted and commented on related Facebook posts...

        You can add these UIDs to your custom audience. You can also filter these UIDs further by placing Australia as the target country when you use this custom audience as the target audience of your Facebook ads...
