A couple odd occurrences with Teespring

I'm new to teespring and I have a couple of questions... any input would be greatly appreciated.

1. In Facebook I can't get the conversion pixel verified. I installed the number on teespring, triple checked it, clicked the refresh on Facebook and nothing.

Do I need to sell something first before the conversion pixel works? Am I missing something here?

2. I had 113 click-throughs to the salespage and not one sale! I have the price in the newsfeed ad. How can 113 people click to buy a hoodie and then change their minds? It's only 35.95! I'm doing really well with a CTR rate of 2.3%. I've only paid $14 for 113 clicks but no sales.

I could see if the hoodie was $80 and I didn't list the price in the add but that's not the case. The sales goal is only 10 so I don't think that scared anyone away????

I'm not sure if I can list the url of the shirt because I don't want to get this post deleted. I can really use some advice.

Any help would be great.

    hmmm... could be your targeting.... but you're getting clicks so that means it's getting people's attention.

    Try changing up your targeting/audience and then re-evaluate from there.

      It's a hoodie for firefighters. I'm targeting US Firemen between 20-40yrs. I don't know how else I can change the target audience. Any suggestions. I'm getting lots of likes
      (I think in the range of 40-50).

        Try custom audience. Extract active commentators from fanpages. It might be that your target audience is already saturated, firefighter niche along with nurses is awfully popular on teespring.

    You need a sale to fire the pixel before its verified. I usually buy the first shirt and cancel it later but you don't have to do this... it will verify by itself when a purchase is made.

    A good CTR is usually 8%+ for newsfeed ads. Your design isn't good enough or people aren't passionate they are just curious.

    It's common for people starting out with teespring to grow very attached to their designs early on. This usually results in spending too much money trying to get the campaign to tip or be successful... If i've spent $15 and had 0 sales I'd either tweak the design or try find a more passionate audience.

      The pixel doesn't get verified until there's actually a conversion, so you need to wait until there's a sale.

      Same here unless I make at least 3 sales on the first 15$ bucks I almost always dump the design.

      My thing is... if it's a problem with the design why would they click to the salespage? Even though my CTR is now 2.2% I've only spent $22 for 153 clicks. I did check today and I do have a checkout. Should I continue?

    Try to do split testing such as:

    Age Targeting.
    Location
    Interest.

    You might want to use specific FB user id's to target using Social Lead Freak.
