How to monetize 2M+ Facebook pages?

Hello WF,

I currently have two 2 Million+ likes fanpages (for privacy reasons I'm not going to post the links here), and I would like any ideas or help to monetize these pages.

The niche is general, and the demographics are mixed (worldwide, but mostly US/UK). I don't want to sell anything, but I would post other people's affiliate links for a price, if there is any interest.

Would you be interested in purchasing posts in 2 Facebook pages with 2M+ likes for the price of $300 (both) or $170 each? Or should the prices be different?

I'm open to any other suggestions or ideas. Please no JV offers.

Regards,
Bryan

  • Hi Bryan
Why are your customers on these pages to begin with? I wouldn't recommend just throwing spaghetti on a wall. You can do that and monetize, but don't you want to find a very effect way, and generate higher levels of $?

I have a company grown directly from FB with approx 330k and we monetize at about 45k per month. DM me if you want to chat.
  • Hello catfish,

I understand what you're saying, but the general niche of the pages limits me in using the pages for selling products. I think the best option is to sell the posts to the others, but I need to see if there is any interest from WF before I open up my sales thread.

    • i would be interested if you could give me a direct message with what niche they are in, or if you can skype me at randy-SI we can talk there too. i can also possibly hook you up with products to sell too
  • Hi Bryan,

I think you should first test which post types causes most clicks (traffic is the key) on your pages. This'll help you pinpoint interests and different products.

Other suggestion would be to try to convert them to your mailing lists.

There's is quite simple method and you can try it multiple times for multiple posts and lists:

    1) Create Tab squeeze page (Leadpage, Woobox, iFrame app...) with signup form similar to post you are about to send.
    2) Prepare post with link to the tab
    3) Promote post with Facebook ads targeting only your fans to get better reach.

You can test this for different "incentives" and once you have different subscribers on different lists, broadcast them email swipes with promo affiliate links.

This way you have segmented audiences and you don't spam your timeline with affiliate promotions.

BTW - price of the post you suggested depends solely on responsiveness of your Facebook Fans. 2M doesn't matter if you can provide only couple clicks.

  • The first thing comes into my mind, why wouldn't you yourself want to sell anything?
Secondly, as far as I remember, Facebook doesn't allow affiliate links.

    • I would pay. Message me more details. Depends on reach though
    • It may be true that FB doesn't allow affiliate links but who cares. It's always best to link ads to a squeeze page and then redirect to the affiliate offer IMHO. Even though I have linked directly to affiliate links in the past, I've had much more success linking to a squeeze page than trying to direct link to an affiliate link.

  • I would suggest whatever the niche sell products via Amazon with it At least get the ball rolling. Also if you could make a blog in the particular niche, make a bunch of content and through up some adsense. $$$
  • Thank you for the great ideas, but I don't want to go through all the hassle of setting up websites and everything because I'm busy with another project.

That's why I wanted to sell posts because it's not time consuming, plus the pages are NOT spammed with any links, therefore the client is bound to receive quite a lot of traffic.
  • What niche are you in?

    • Funny videos and HD photos.
  • I think it would be best if you create a blog for that and promote that blog on your facebook page.

    • I don't have the time and resources to build a blog right now.

  • Building a blog doesn't take much time or you could hire someone to do it for you.
  • You can build a blog for specific niche and start affiliate marketing by driving traffic from FB pages.
  • after reading your post, the first thing come in my mind that why you don't promote you amazon affiliate link on your facebook page and it is better to make your blog and earn through adsense and other CPM site... if i have this type of big page i will also do this type of thing

    • You should create a 'how to get to 2 million likes' WSO... then you could
have the resources to do this right.

Rarely have I seen that many likes. I would love to see what you are doing
      to attract AND keep them.
  • feel free to pm me, I might be new to this forum but I am a member on other forums and I know great things that you can do with it to maximize your profits and the niche won't even matter
  • I will recommend you to go for a Good Informative Website or Meme Site and Monetize it with Adsense ...

Its a great way to earn some good money from your Page.
  • Isn't that the same thing?

Whether or not you post yours, or someone else's affiliate link it still selling, at least in my belief

In that case, go with email submits that your audience would like the most.

Just keep in mind it might take some time to find out exactly what it is that they like
  • Thank you for the idea, but I'm not interested in creating a blog with adsense.

    • Selling post is a good idea.. but $170 per post? with Facebook algorithm changes I would not pay that much.. I make business with a guy that has a 4.2m fan page and active (20k+ like per post) and he charge $75 per promoted post.

  • Hi,

Can you a website page make, and can you traffic sending from facebook to website!
Google Adsense the best advertising partners
  • I'm not fond of Adsense and I'm already using MyLikes. Any better ideas?
  • The only way you can find how much a single post would be worth on your page is to sell few posts and see what the reviews you get from buyers. If your buyers are happy, they will come again and again for buying posts.

  • I like the way you sneaked your fiverr links in as the thread developed! Kind of makes one wonder if the Facebook pages exist at all!!??
  • I guess you can sell it ..
It would be better or else try if you can add some e-com stuff to it to get a nice conversion.
  • I think you've vastly overvalued the amount per post that your page is likely worth.
  • Whatever you niche is OP,

what you could do is release exclusive content

for the page and content lock it with a PPD network like PureBits.

The result is that the people don't have to spend anything

for it and you still make money.

    Good luck OP.

  • Hello, Brian! please PM me. I sent you message here on WF, and in fiverr, but have no reply.
  • It depends on how much traffic one post is able to send. Would you be able to send me a post? I emailed you at the address you gave me on your PM but never responded.
  • What is your niche I may be willing to pay the price
