Facebook Reach smashed again! anyone else??

but you are not alone on this with face book's reach.
I have the same problem and I know dozens of other guys who have the same problem.
face book reach has gone down for every one.
Face Book doesn't want our posts to be reached to as many fans as it used to be as they want us to be advertising more and more.

I built my page /glutenfreeworks (remove name if inappropriate, sorry) to 114,000 and 200,000 people talking about this and 4,000,000 reach per week 100% organically. I ran one test ad campaign for one week to see how it works. The campaign ended March 12. On March 13 my page experienced a precipitous drop in reach. It has continued to the point where now my page has 116,400 likes, just 31,800 talking about this and 533,000 weekly reach. I now tell everyone NOT to advertise of you never did before. The algorithm is more of a tripwire. Once Facebook thinks you are a business, your reach is shut down. All the talk about using Link share from your pages is not true. I get better response from photo + link. Memes are less affected, so I will now include the links in photos. Although people have to enter them directly, my audience is/was VERY engaged and will hopefully enter the links. The worst part for facebook is that I WOULD advertise if it meant the limiters were taken off and they restored my reach. They want $1,500 to reach 200,000 - 250,000 in a month. That is pathetic. And that's what I told the facebook ad salesman. They killed my reach, and by doing so, they killed my ad budget that I would have gladly invested in them. Facebook management is worthless. They have 42 million fan pages. If each page cost just $10 per month, they would make $420,000,000 per month. At this point they make $200 million per quarter. Talk about stupid....

I understand your frustration! It happens all the time! It's part of any internet business! Anyway, I would suggest you to pay boosting your posts instead. There's really little benefit running page like campaigns now. Also, please note the page engagement campaigns also result to some page likes. So it's better to just run post engagement campaigns.

Build Fans
Drive Fans to web site
Ask Fans to get on list
Never pay for engagement again.

Hi Gary, Facebook seems to work best for free marketing. The Ad angle is a bit challenging. I prefer to make a ton of friends by promoting them, commenting on their pages, and their blogs, then they do the same in return and I receive a ton of traffic.

FB has changed. So as marketers we have to change tactics. No way around it.

Ads>> Tabs or posts>> Opt in>> No problem.
