Sooo did i just waste my money. BTW im a new member and coming here to say hi. Ive been lurking for a little and decided to join today. Seems like everyone has the same problem with the custom audience. I wish i looked more into before buying SLF. I have a shirt on teespring and ive met my goal but i spent that much on facebook ads, so ill be breaking even. I was super excited when i opened up SLF and started scraping user ids and then boom, Not approved.

    Why was it not approved?

    The money is the motive.

Says I used offensive material, which I didn't I tested a few things and it never worked when I had a custom audience. I later just did a regular ad with no custom audience with the same pictures and description and it worked . Seems like a lot of people are having problems.

im having the same problem except i used fb leadjacker to scrape and get user id's for a teespring campaign. the first time i made an ad with custom audience, it got approved. but i messed up on my ad and had to start a new ad campaign. when i tried to do an ad with custom audience, it never gets approved now and says i ussed vulgar language which i didnt, but when i remove the custom audience it gets approved. When i went back to edit my audience i noticed a message that flashed on the screen that said something like " The custom audience that you used has been deleted or is no longer available."

Facebook is denying ANY ads that use a custom audience and will give the generic "can't target names, age, etc" excuse as the reason. Although you may not fall within those violations, they're still denying the ads because they have a new platform rolling out in a few days that will prevent what they consider spam posts (name, age, etc listings). So no, you can't use custom audience targeting w/facebook.

If this is true then why did my three news feed ads I posted today, all on different pages and all using CA's, get approved almost immediately? All of my ads are linking to squeeze pages on custom tabs and are still running. I have been using CA's all week with no issues.

Keep doing that, and suddenly FB will restrict your account.

I too was doing CA' and teespring. Even I had 6 successful campaign which made me $2300 in profit, but about 5 days ago they restricted my account.

I was lucky to get my account back active. But I would be much careful about CA's in future.

Yes, FB is currently not allowing anything that combines Teespring and custom audiences. You can still use CAs, but not to Teespring; and you can promote Teespring pages, but only to a general interest audience.

CA's are making a great trouble for FB advertiser at this time.
I had my account blocked 5 days ago, without any reason. I was just running a teespring campaign (Sport niche, not that name thing) when FB paused my ad and banned my account for no reason.

After much request I got my account up and running again.
So if you are trying to do Teespring from my opinion stick to Interest selection thing and not CA.

Also CA's are like gold to us, find a clever method to utilize them. Internet is much bigger then you think. They are many thing apart from Teespring, find one and make your killing!
