Teespring - Targeting Potential T-Shirt Buyers - Facebook + SLF

Hello Warrios.

I would like to share to you my strategies marketing Teespring campaign about "Bulldog" using Facebook + Social Lead Freak. See images and steps below.

So let’s get started.

What is Teespring?

Teespring allows you to create & sell custom apparel with ZERO Hassle, ZERO upfront costs, and ZERO risk. Teespring website here.

What is Social Lead Freak?

Extract Facebook User ID's from Pages, Groups, Events etc.

So how to get potential buyers that would like to wear your t-shirt design?

Steps:
  1. Get Social Lead Freak
  1. Search for Facebook pages or groups. (closed groups must be a member first, so just join and wait for confirmation)
  1. Extract user ID’s from Facebook pages and groups about “Bulldog”. Now I have 4,827 real target leads.


  1. Save the CSV file and upload to Facebook Ads Power Editor (custom Audience).






  1. Deploy your Ads and start making $$$.

Targeting correct audience is a proven and tested strategy.

    except that you can't use Custom Audiences anymore in the US. It's not working for anybody I know.

      I'm with williamthemac here, facebook came down hard on custom audience abuse. Are you still using custom audiences, and if so, do you mind sharing the method or loophole you're using to avoid getting slapped by fb?

        i actually hired someone out of India via Elance and had him try to upload custom audiences on my Facebook (to make sure i wasn't insane) and it got rejected. He did the same on his facebook and it was accepted immediately.

        I'm almost certain that other countries can still use custom audiences and you just can't in the US which is a friggin' jip if you ask me.

          If that's the case, just get a VPN service like hidemyass, and start from scratch.

      I thought they were only banned for Teespring, but today I couldn't even launch an ad for approval with custom audiences. It showed me a notice that my audience was against Facebook terms of service, so I think it is banned. The ad was just for liking an FB page.

    It's hit and miss. Some are getting them approved and others not. I've never focused 100% on CA anyway and doing very well using FB's interest targeting. It works.

    Get good at targeting using FB's own interest targeting and you can make selling anything work. Also, the scalability of it is insane. CA's you really can't scale with. So yes, you can make some OK roi's, but it just won't last.

    The custom audience doesn't really work now. I already got 3 custom audiences rejected. Even the workarounds like adding other countries into the list no longer works. So I just stopped using custom audiences. I'm afraid that Facebook might ban your account after several violations.

    I'm now using interests targeting and it works well for me, about 150% ROI. You just need to keep an eye on it and optimize it as much as possible.

    The problem is "HOW" you're getting the UID's which is against Facebooks Terms of Service.

      Do you know if they're cool with using UIDs from Facebook opt-ins?

          But how can Facebook differentiate between a list gathered in that way than one scraped from a Facebook page if they're essentially all just UIDs on a CSV? I mean, FB is rejecting any and all ads, regardless of what they're for or where they go, if I use any kind of custom audience.

    Its sad to know custom audiences is not longer working for some people.
    I think thats the fault of people coding this tools and mass selling them.
    Somehow I will crack the loophole and wont share it unless I get JV with someone. (Im a developer)

    Just wish I had more interest in the Teespring movement......I know it's extremely popular but I just haven't had a desire to focus on it. Considering looking into it some more and maybe will change my mind....just not enough hours in the day to try everything I guess....lol

      We are extracting user ID's from FB groups and pages for better targeting.

      Extract --> Upload using Power Editor Custom Audience.

      Another amazing part of this strategy is you can convert the customer audience to lookalike.
