Future of Social Media Networks

More of a general question but where do you guys think social media is headed? Is the anonymous route something that will stick? Where do you see facebook users headed? Are smaller social clicks going to be the new thing? Just wanted to get some thoughts!

Thanks guys!

I believe it will always be going in a positive direction.

As long as you can adapt to change, there shouldn't be much to worry about

Who's next after G+? "NEXTT" ? Any ideas?

Future of Social Media Networks? This, I cannot answer. Social media depends on its users, so really, the future of social networking is down to us!

Interesting approach. I keep reading up on Google+ overtaking social media but somehow I rarely hear the excitement or interest in it amongst my colleagues.

I have just started using Google plus (April 2014) and not only do I like it and all of its features better than face book, I find that Google plus is facebook on steroids. I say this because every time I try to get 50 new facebook friends i get block for a period of time. Plus I am having minimal success with facebook fan pages - hmmmm. This is not a problem on Google plus. In fact, Google plus circles are really amazing once you learn how they work. It's way better the FB or FB pages in any aspect.

There is a learning curve to using Google Plus, which can be resolved by using YouTube.com. At this point I am increasingly losing interest in facebook.com, their privacy policies and edgerank algorithms suck. I don't like it.

Only if someone introduces you to Google plus will you see its value... That's how I feel. And if someone or some Guru says its a ghost town... Take their advice at face value and discover it for yourself. There is A LOT of Folks On G+! Don't list to them or the nay-sayers. Find out for yourself.

I am very curious to see how the 'smaller' platforms of today are going to chance. With that I mean the pinterests, tumblrs, and the more local platforms.
