It's already targeted to everyone if you are promoting a shirt with a name on it since everyone has a name...

Is there anything else about the shirt that sets it apart which you can target? Think along those lines.

If you are only using one or two names I would say broaden your scope because you limit yourself.

    Hope that helps

Yes...I agree...target an audience through something other than the name

    1) Does the shirt your promoting have a theme such as a picture or graphic?

    2) Is it casual beach wear or dressy business wear?

    3) Long sleeve or short sleeve? for winter or summer?

    4) Is the clothing for men or women?

....see, when you think along these terms you can widen your audience for advertising

I thought i saw a thread where someone just got their ads shut down because of targeting people's names.

See post #24 under that thread.

People normally scrape UID's of people with the same names from the opengraph search, then upload it to Facebook as their custom audience. This may work for a while, but it's against Facebook TOS and you're in a risk of getting your Facebook account banned. So my advice is to try other niches instead!

Yes, don't target people's name directly as it's against FB TOS. If you do it, they'll catch on and immediately ban your account.

    Can't target age or name.

There's other platforms for that, but FB is still good when working with their own general interest targeting.

I think you are doing it the other way around. You created a shirt, and then finding your audience. 100% of the time, I find the audience/niche first, then I build the shirt around it. It's exactly the same internet marketing principle, where you find the problem first, and then create a solution for it! Hope this makes sense.

Also, name campaigns on Facebook are going down hard due to recent Facebook adjustments. So I would avoid that for now.
