Twitter Automation Question / Potential Genius Twitter Marketing Idea

Hey guys, I recently Tweeted "@HostGator" and was immediately sent a reply from BlueHost promoting their service. This gave me an idea/question



Is there any tool/bot that allows you to reply to people who "@xxxx". Essentially, this is perfect targeted marketing because BlueHost knows that anyone who does "@HostGator" probably has a comment/question/feeback regarding hosting etc. so they have a bot or a person automatically reply to that person and promote their own service.



Anyone know a tool/bot that can do that? Any flaws in my logic? What do you guys think?

    The problem with auto replying is that most serious Twitter users are quite offended by this. In fact, many will automatically un-follow anyone that auto messages them. I've seen people on Twitter complain about this countless times. I myself will un-follow anyone who auto DM's me generic content.

    I'm not saying there isn't a time and a place but definitely proceed with caution.
