How can I increase page likes and interaction on my facebook page?

Hi everyone,

I have a Saxophone page called "Saxophone Guru" which links to my online website that teaches people how to play the saxophone.

I currently have 44 likes from people who are "interested in the saxophone" according to facebook. I am struggling to get any interaction with people on my page so I am wondering what kind of material to post.

Firstly I was posting helpful tips linking to my blog on my website. I didn't even get a single like to any of my posts from this....

Next I posted a video of an awesome saxophonist playing a popular song. Again no interactions whatsoever...

What can I do to firstly increase my page likes and secondly increase interaction?

I know it's a specific niche but there is demand for my product.

You have too little likes. Try to get more, then you may see more interactions.

Hi Friend, you can buy a $5 gig on fiverr to get thousands of likes in some weeks.

    It's just a suggestion.

    Cheers

Do NOT do this. These are fake likes and don't do anything except to artificially boost your fan count. As these aren't real people, they will not be interacting with your page. This may actually hurt you, as your EdgeRank may significantly decrease, causing fewer real fans to see your posts in their news feed.

Increase your likes by buying CPC ads on Facebook. As your fan base grows, the interactions will follow, provided you don't just post links to your website. Post pictures you think people will share, and pictures that encourage folks to comment. You can even include a link to your site with the picture.

TL;DR - Don't buy fake fans, buy Facebook CPC ads instead. Post viral/interesting content to your page and not just links to your site.

ok...first where did you get your likes from? I would not purchase likes from anyone 99% are fake in my opinion (and from experience). Facebook ads are more reliable as far is generating real "likes". That is probably the reason you arent getting any engagement because your likes are probably not real.

Let me just clarify here. I want targeted likes only. Currently all my likes are either from my current customers, friends who like the saxophone or through facebook ads from people who like the saxophone.

I will not be purchasing any fake likes as that is not my plan here. I know I could easily get thousands of likes for a very small amount of money. However this would not help me achieve my goal here. I want more interaction from people who are actually interested in the subject and may end up buying the product the page is all about.

I've always found that polls work well, especially if you work it creatively and incentivize engagement.

Yes, polls are good for interaction. People always have an opinion! Have you tried giving them something? Reciprocity works, they'll be grateful and, perhaps, more inclined to engage.

Definitely always post some kind of media when you can (photo, video, etc.) Any kind of saxophone/music related memes/jokes may also be effective. These receive lots of shares on social media because users want their friends to see them too if they find them genuinely funny.

Like some others have mentioned though, you do need to increase your likes. Have you thought about spending some money on FB ads?

I've noticed that pages that do contests seem to get a lot of likes. Once the likes are there it will be easier to get interaction.

Facebook page likes are important because they help us to increase our traffic for website. In my opinion Facebook Ads are the fastest way to grow your Facebook community.Facebook offers a free widget that you can add to your website to increase your Likes.Another way to grow your Facebook community is to engage other Facebook pages while acting as your page.Other way to grow your Facebook community is by cross promoting your page on other communication channels – like your website, your blog, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, email, etc.

Getting likes is important - but like some of the above posters stated - don't buy random likes. Just like your original 44 likes - you want quality.
Use cross promotion with other marketing activities such as your website, emails, other social media sites, business cards, flyers, postcards, advertisements, etc.
Networking is a great way (both online and offline) and from there - directly share your FB page to get them involved and liking your page.
If you do have clients that have liked your page - ask them to refer others to the page.

    Quality, not quantity!
Try to launch a blog and promote it among musical societies. Write something that will attract people, who want to try to learn how to play sax, like "Learn how to play "Autumn Leaves" just in 2 days". Intrigue people and try to hook them with something extraordinary.

You can run a simple competition to engage ya audiences. e.g create a simple ad and tag all ya subscribers so that they'll notice ya post.
The competition can be "post a 1min clip of yourself playing sax and post in the fanpage. Competition last for a week. Clip with the most likes gets a simple prize"

This will help create awareness for ya page as well because those who take part in this competition will get all their friends to like their clip that is posted in ya page.

Hey there, I have some advice for your case. Hope they'll be useful.

    1. As mentioned before, do not buy fake Facebook likes, use those money for a Facebook ads instead. Let me explain why: it is not for growing an audience it is to be more engaging to current audience. After recent changes in Facebook algorithms it is necessary to spend at least a small amount of money to your page Facebook ads because then Facebook will show your posts to more of your current followers news feed. It may be that you do not get any likes right now not because your content is not interesting, it's because no of your 44 fans can see your content on their news feeds.
    2. Install a Facebook pop-up to your website. You mentioned that you have a website - install a pop-up box that suggested to like your page on Facebook when people visit your page for the first time. It is really effective (I know it from my own experience) and you get a very targeted audience.
    3. Post photos. Believe me, it is the best material that can be posted on Facebook. It is better than videos because some users can't watch them for a various reasons. Now, what kind of photos it should be? First of all, it should be relative to your page. Secondly, it need to appeal to people emotions. I.e. It has to be funny, sad, brave, inspiring, etc. People love emotions and are willing to share them with others. That's that social media is all about.

  • Hi I am completely agree with JonPKibble In my opinion your facebook page should be more interactive and informative by which you can get more likes from the other others. There are many services provider of Saxophone. Try to find their page on Google and linked your page to them. One more thing try to share more and more picture and videos related to your services.

My advice is to develop a strategy that works for your audience. Experiment with your posts. Perhaps your target market is more likely to be on Facebook during the late evening hours, instead of throughout the day. Maybe they engage more on the weekends or vice versa. If you notice a pattern of higher interaction, plan your posts accordingly.

If you want your Facebook fans to like and share your content; you must provide them with likeable, sharable content!

Try posting different types of interactive content like images, photos, and videos. These types of posts stand out in the news feed. Use these different types of media to give your business some flavor. Be creative and have some fun with it!

  • Ya Silivia you are right that Facebook is a good resource for marketing a product or services. Even Facebook is a great place to make connection and friends over the word. For getting more likes you can create more page regarding business or product .
Lets take an example If you want to promote a business regarding Social Media Marketing. And your are offering services like Social Media Optimization and Marketing Consultants and many more . So try to create separate Facebook page for SEO and Marketing Consultants, means one Facebook page for SEO and Facebook page for Marketing Consultants. And invite your friends to like your pages . Don't forget to share photos and video , and valuable content regarding that particular service.

Content can help you with the traffic and page likes. you need to publish unique and relevant content on your fan page and in various groups. this will help you get traffic to your website and if your content is really fresh then people will automatically like it. don't always post business related content. at times you must also post some humorous and funny things for a change.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[9136690].message }}
  • Yes Ganeshbuilder, you are right sometime different and funny picture should be posted for a change. And invite friends to like your page . And connect to other groups that relate to your service and business.

Currently you are lacking two things:
    1. Quality content to post
    2. Very low Page Likes

Increase Page Likes to 1000+ and watch other pages related to your niche and see what kind of posts they are sharing.

First try increasing the likes, for that I will suggest to buy likes from sites like SEOClerks, listingdock etc, as this is a quick process, then try to promote your page in different groups and forums, when u ll have more likes people will automatically start liking your page. Then you can get more traffic, and then try to post as much as possible , it will take time but people will notice your posts one day . Good luck

Elena21, I don't think so that buying likes is a good way for promoting a business page. In my opinion having more likes on your Facebook Page doesn't mean if they aren't engaging with you. Bought fans don't engage because most of them aren't real one.All I means is this Purchased Likes won't become your customers and can causes you to alienate real Likes.Ya we can promote our business page by join different business forums and groups that are related to our business. That may give a better result to our business.
