How are you handling FB's decrease in organic reach?

I have multipl fan pages, ranging from 1000 likes to 8000 likes.

And like everyone else, my organic reach has gone to sh!t. For my 1000 like page, I'm barely reaching 50 people organically per status update.

How are you guys handling the decline in organic reach? Are you paying to boost your posts now?

Probably the biggest issue on fb right now. I'd love to hear some ideas as well - as I'm stuck with the same problem.

My guess would be trying to get other "active" fb pages in your niche to plug you - even if you have to pay for it, depending on the price it might be more effective than fb ads. Depending on the site, you can add 100-500 likes per post, of very _active_ users.

Yes, if paying to reach your fans "costs" you money, instead of MAKES you money, then evaluate your monetization strategies.

We have over 20 fan pages ranging from a few hundred fans to over 300K fans and we still post our normal posts each day, as well as promoting through FB ads to our fans only. Conversions have increased for us each and every time when promoting to our fans through FB ads.

      Still posting more often.

If you chose an extremely targeted, passionate niche, this really shouldn't be a problem.

One of my smallest pages (3-4K) gets about 75-100 shares per picture

That can only be done if people go absolutely nuts about what you post
