Video Marketing - Ranking Factors

I thought I would start a thread on ranking factors for Video Marketing. I can pretty much say that ranking with video isn't much of a problem for me and can make it to page 1 or 2 without a problem but I am always looking at perfecting my video marketing as this is my favorite traffic generation method. Here is a list of what I do to rank... if anyone can share anything else that they do, I would highly appreciate it so I can rank more easily for the tougher keywords:

1) Good and thorough SEO
2) Backlinks
3) Tags - I think out of the box here so I can at least show up on the right hand side on YouTube searches
4) Captions - transcribe and optimize
5) Annotations - two annotations spread throughout the video

Would love to hear if there is anything else people use to rank

    I also love Video Marketing and have also never had problems ranking Videos.
    The Optimization that has worked for me is:
    1) Title: Keywords placed 2-3 times in Title & always first word.
    2) Description: 500 Words high keyword density. I transcribe the video into the description.
    3) Only use 3-5 Tags.
    4) Post to other Video sites

    Now I will start using Annotations & Captions. Thanks.

    Social Syndication over backlinks for me... SocialAdr does my dirty work for me

    Other than that I comment on channels with huge followings regularly to backlink to my channel that way...

    Also put the "watch" URL in the bottom of the description (gives you a free natural backlink when people scrape you)
