Is this a good plan for a FB page to advertise offers

I'm starting up with a health/fitness related facebook page, and will try to stem it to thousands of likes to have a huge audience and, say every few weeks post a status with a Clickbank fitness offer. 10,000 likes, 1/250 conversion rate is 40 conversions. If the offer is worth $80 a piece that's $3,000 each time you post an offer. Thoughts?

ALSO PLEASE post your best means of FREE internet marketing.

    Hey CamNewton

This sounds good overall. The fitness & health niche is really in at the moment, and there are a lot of products to promote for it. So in terms of the plan, I like it! If implemented properly it should work out for you (excuse the pun, but I had to include it!)

You mention a 1/250 conversion rate. This could fluctuate highly. If you have a very targeted audience then your conversion rate will be that or maybe even better, but if you buy a load of likes from a like farm than your conversion rate will be a big fat ZERO.

Just mentioning that in case you didn't know. I presume you won't be buying likes as you specifically mention free internet marketing strategies.

Well, I would do what you would do with most other affiliate offers. Start conversing on forums and answering questions online for problems that your niche have, or better yet problems that your product can fix. Perhaps have your Facebook page address in your signature in these forums.

I would also look at tumblr. You can click add and add and add here to your heart's content to get 1000s of followers easily. If every few posts you link to your Facebook page it may give you a few extra likes, but make sure they are targeted.

I suppose the main thing you want to do is send interested people to your Facebook page, and by targeting your efforts to these people, you should be fine

I usually speak theoretically in terms of IM as I am a n00b, but I've done this strategy before through work and so have (a bit) of knowledge in it!

Let us know how you get on.
