Selling Music Show Tickets?

I have a quick question which you guys may or may not have the answer to. I have a goal.

My goal is to have a music show here in the Los Angeles area, and get 400 people to show up at a $20 per ticket. I will be performing. There is obviously over head, with the band that I will be bringing the Venue, and DJs, and promotion.

My question is this. Does anyone have any experience doing Facebook Ads marketing? Is it really possible to create a flyer with the featuring band and me as the opening act of course , and do a Facebook Ads marketing campaign to local people who love the specific genre?

The genre I am a part of is a very small community, so it's not like I am bringing a Justin Bieber or anything like that. But the band is well known within this community.

How would you do this? I know this is a very specialized question, and I am not sure if this is even the spot to ask this.

    Get as much publicity as you can. I am not in LA or even the US so I don't know what local PR you can use but that would be your best bet. People who live nearby are the ones who will most likely commit but you need to work out everything that you can offer the crowd and then sell it.

    Yes you can definitely target the local audience. Actually nightlife and bar marketing is what I do

    My advice, don't use the flyer, too much info. Make a nice image of the band with the date and venue text on it, out more details in the post status w a link to the tickets. Then advertise that post with a very targeted custom audience (by zip codes, music genre, fans of venue and band, like audience info etc)

      Facebook ads are a great way to promote that kind of events but don't use just one method try everything you can to reach more people. My advise: learn how FB ads works before starting a campaing to avoid lose money. The ad must be simple to get better results.
