Scrapped FB Custom Audiences. Are they bad?

Hi,

So, I'm hearing a lot of rumors that you can get banned for using custom audiences that are scrapped.

Is this true or not?

Would be very thankful for any answers

    I dont think so, why FB have an option to upload custom audience. How can you get the custom audience...

      You can also get custom audiences by uploading your email list and not by scrapping.

      Yes, dont use them!

      Facebook are really cracking down on scrapped audiences, the sole purpose of the custom audiences was for people with pages,groups and apps to be able to target specific groups of there users.

      Using scrapped IDs is a sure fire way of getting your account banned

    Get banned ? Maybe!
    But you did it for more accounts , why not ? ( some e-mail, some abcxyz address you can get new one acct )
    All we need is UID and some Information. We do not need Yourself facebook account, we do not scare of banned.

      Your english is a little hard to understand. Facebook ad accounts are very hard to get hold of these days. They are so hard in fact they fetch $2k+ on underground markets. I paid my supplier $10k just for a sure fire method of creating accounts.

    I guess no one would want to get their personal account banned... So, if you still want to use them at least have a dummy account.

      I agree. If you're going to do something as risky as getting your own list for a scrapped audience then you should make a separate account just incase. The internet has gone down with A LOT of spam all over the place and networks are doing their best to make everything as natural as possible, that means no for you and things of this nature.

        I wouldn't necessarily call scrapping a custom audience spam, because it's not like you are directly messaging every single person, you are just creating ads to that group of people that you know has a specific interest.
        Yet it really was getting out of control, when marketers decided to use their first or last name in the ads to capture attention...
        Anyways, Facebook ads is still the way to go. Even if you have a small email list, you can then build a huge lookalike audience out of it.
