Youtube videos- to embed or not?

Hello Warriors

I have a question regarding youtube videos...

If I were to out a video onto youtube, would there be a difference in earnings between:

1) Having the videos purely on youtube...I.e send my visitors to youtube to view the video
2) Embed the videos on my website so my visitors can view it directly through my site.

I am just thinking which would end up making more money. I know obviously user experience would be greater having them embedded, but my question is purely related to income in this case.

Many thanks
GP

Well if you embed them on your site, you can disable the function that shows related videos after yours ends. So if it's traffic you're sending to YouTube specifically to watch your videos, I'd say embed them on your site instead. That way they don't get enticed away by some other video that catches their attention.

Very good question glenpud. I always wondered why YouTubers wouldn't all embed their videos on their own platform and essentially get "double traffic". There must be a good reason. Maybe someone can tell us.

Remember also that on your website, you control the surrounding environment. If you're selling a product, then a video will supplement your website's call-to-actions, whereas if you take them straight to YouTube, you have to hope that they will come back to your site to convert.

I would say that you should always embed your videos. It's going to boost your rankings and your video channel.

Hey guys. Sorry for the late reply.

Thank you all for your responses and I think I will go with the embedding option. I suppose that the actual video on youtube can have links to my site so it will capture the viewers that view it only on youtube.

    I appreciate your comments.

For income the biggest factor is getting organic views by ranking high. You can do this by running ads on YouTube with Google AdWords for video. See how in this video.

It is a great idea to host your videos at youtube and embed it at your site. But be sure to include your website at the description of your youtube video.

    Why?
Because you are making your traffic twice. As they watched your video at youtube, they try to see at the description and find that they can see more videos at your site.
1 traffic from youtube and 1+ traffic for your site.

And the tendency of this is that if your visitor enjoyed your site, he/she keeps on coming back. another traffic.

    Restriction:
Be sure not to upload copyright videos at youtube

    Happy traffic making!!

How do you know if it is copyrighted? Does it plainly state this or is there something we need to know... for example the "embed" option is gone possibly? Thanks so much!
