How do some businesses recieve thousands of followers on facebook?

I was watching shark tank the other day and these two sisters starts some company. They said they had over 100,000 followers. I like to know what they did or if there is a very good blog about how others got their thousands of followers.

    I am not sure about those followers because there are services in Fiverr that offers you thousands of followers in several social media platforms but they aren't real people. So what do you need? I am sure you would like legit people as followers. I suggest to build content (video, article,etc) that will attract followers.

    The best way that i get legit followers for my Facebook page is by networking. I usually like someones page, and then i send them a nice message introducing myself and commenting about the page.

    I'll also ask if they can like mine in return. This is how i build quality followers rather than a random bunch of people.

      Usually successful business pages use a combination of Facebook ads, earned media, and networking to build their audience on Facebook. The majority of larger pages have run some type of Facebook ad campaign at some point with the exception of some of the top 100 pages.

      I am 100% agree with your way of getting legit likes to your own page. I don't see the efforts people put behind the the fake likes which is never going to be fruitful for one's business.

      I recommend your method to all new and veteran alike.

        Legit likes is the only way you should go but if you are looking to build your audience, sending individual messages to people to do it is likely a large time comittment. I think spending even just $1 a day on ads is a much better use of your time. Find the ad that works best and then spend more money.

        But then I guess it all depends on what your page/business is about. If you are looking to build a deep relationship with each individual fan, then maybe its worth the time investment. But then maybe Facebook is not the right place to build that type of relationship either.

    What has worked best for me in the past is use facebook ads to get started. Use ads that attract clicks. Once you get a good number of followers, start giving your fans original content they are interested in. Images work the best because people really like to share them.

    Give it time but once Facebook recognizes that people like what you are sharing, they will advertise your page for you, for free.

    Some people can blow up their Facebook page instantly when they get lucky and get featured somewhere but thousands of likes on Facebook take some time. You have to have a lot of engaging and interesting content as well as other stuff that will interest the minds of the people.

    It's not easy, you will have to be consistent but once you have gotten to a few thousands, it's going to get easier.

    Most of the small businesses with 100K followers are Frauds. You can easily go to an underground site and buy followers. They are trying to perceive their business as being popular but will end up failing. You get ORGANIC followers through smart work.
