I've seen a lot of people promoting products on facebook groups although I'm not sure If it is effective as it looks like spammy on my book. Just make sure to read the rules of the group as each group is different.

The only risk when promoting on facebook group is being tagged as spam. When that happens you either get removed to the group or you will be temporarily won't be able to post, you need need to identify your friends picture just to validate that your account is real.

Now if you are promoting using facebook ads, I think there is a rule that you should only be promoting on the people who has your consent and no hype headlines and showing of income proofs. (although you can promote through interest targeting but IMO if you are doing that, you should be promoting your fan page then through the fan page you can send affiliate offers and you can ask them to optin to your email list.)

That's the only way you are going to get high conversion and safe way to do that if you are planning to promote on facebook.

convert your clickbank link using tiny url to make it shorter and more likely to get clicked.

As long as you don't continually do it only just once in a while you should be fine,

Oh no theprince19! You have to be careful about clickbank. Especially as an affiliate. I did business with clickbank for years until I stopped doing business with them altogether because they scam affiliates out of sales and traffic! It happened to multiple time until I finally caught on. I remember setting up a campaign where I drove thousands of visitors to my clickbank affiliate link.

When I checked my clickbank analytics I found that clikbank tracked ZERO clicks! I was so angry because I knew that I did everything the right way in setting up the campaign. I double checked and it continued to happen. I would advise that you never do business with clickbank as an affiliate. I am not the only one that this happened to. Go to Goolge and search "clickbank stealing commissions" and you will find out that I am telling you the truth.

Cloak it, track it. But even better, redirect visitors to your own landing page first, grab their name and email, THEN send them over to the actual sales letter.

    The short answer is yes.

I have done it and still do it. Cloak by all means, and make sure everything is congruent.

Read the TOS of Facebook. If you aren't breaking any of their rules, then you are good to go.

Yeah, i do use my amazon affiliate links on Facebook ads or whatever and it's fine with them.

The only problem is, it doesn't seem to convert well for many niche except the closely relevant ones.

    Anyway, test and experiment.

Yes it is safe but you should read the Facebook advertising policy before you do it.
