How small can be a real cost per fan on FB ads?

Hi, I found some article How We Got To 40,310 Facebook Fans In 4 Days - AllFacebook - but it is very old (2010 year), there is shown that 5 cents per fan - it was an available price in 2010.

But, what about now? Question to skilled FB advertisers: how much money are you spending to get 1000 fans? What are a normal cost per fan in 2014? I understand that there are different niches (cheap and expensive). But what is a typical average price of fan now?

    However, you shouldn't measure how low the cost can be but how low the cost can be for a high quality user that could be a potential customer.

    thank you for your answers. for me it is some good surprise that it is still possible to achieve so low pricing for fans.

    may be any suggestions or advises could you provide? for example which ad types works the best for fans increasing? some best practices may be please?

    I can’t give an exact value for 1000 fans but on Hire Freelancers & Find Freelance Jobs Online - Freelancer.com you can find freelancers who can provide thousands of Facebook likes for a very low price sometimes even $10 US.

      Man, please do not even suggest similar approaches. That fans which freelancer sell for cheap price - that are bots almost all, and they have no value at all. For real quality fans you must either hardwork yourself, make many attempts and mistakes to organize ads properly, or you can order service where someone else do it for you for high price.

      Best way is to learn how exactly to organize it properly and get real quality fans for cheap
