Some facebook success...of sorts!

First time i have tried this method, posting merchandise (amazon stuff) via a group on facebook. I literally made a post, copied the image from Amazon with very little in terms of content, and they visited. My site received 109 visitors and 4 sales!!! Literally from 1-2 visitors (from bizarre far flung countries and probably spammers) to over 100 visitors from my country!

Just thought I would share, this might not be a success to a lot reading this, but to me it is massive!! Dont think it could create a long term business BUT it certainly has potential i think

      No not a group of my own. Not had any success with groups or even pages on facebook... to be fair it was my wife's doing...flipping woman always outdoes whatever I do

      I wont go into specifics here, but it was profession-related. She is in a group related to a profession and I have a domain related to this. I made a post advertising one of those 'Keep calm and (whatever the job is)" , and she shared the webpage within her group.

      I am thinking that there may be groups for all manner of professions....as I say i cannot (yet) work out how to harness the visitors for something a bit longer term. But yep, that is what I did and what happened

      THAT is the question, and I am not sure. Maybe make my site look a bit more appealing. Cant think of what to offer in exchange for an email...but for sales it might improve if I can find groups and forums.

      PS, i went to college in Wigan a couple of years ago (mature student, not a youngster anymore!). Love the market, town and pies are FTW

    Facebook marketing is a very powerful tool and I suggest to keep it up and get better at it. A lot of newbie marketers tends to try every single technique and spreads themselves too thin in the process.

    Find a technique that works like facebook ads, stick with it and learn everything and trial/error the hell out of it.

    When you master a skill, then move on to the next in order to scale your business better, like blog seo, email marketing, solo ads, etc.

    You are on the right track and I salute you!

      Many thanks, but this was not even FB ads!! Just a simple post in a group, link to a site and then link to Amazon. Amazed to be honest, just checked analytics, over 100 first day and another 60ish on day two. Think it would take a lot of effort to maintain it, but still I hope this motivates someone out there with a basic but seemingly effective method.

    Kudos to you my friend. I just wanted to share that I had some success with facebook. I promoted a product through their ad service. I believe it was like five bucks a day or something and the add would stay up on top for many hours on the time lines. Also you could pick 50 people to tag the add in. I would tag the people with the most friends = most views. I hope this helps and good luck toward your success.

    Remember, to reach the top, we need steps.
    It's not a small success. Initial success is very important for Strengthening one's belief that money can be made on internet.
    Weel done for it and now scale it up to the next level.

    I suggest, if your serious about FB marketing you should use the Facebook graph search, I am internet marketing, so I cannot post a link on here to show you on site, but its my most recent post. You go to my profile on here and go to my site.

    It, will give you more information, and this will give you potential clients using the lead generation system form the graph search. I have seen people pull 100s of people using this method. You even a search on the information..

      You can post Amazon offer on page owned and maintained by you

        The post to the facebook group led to a website, and then on to Amazon.

        Update - visits have slowed right down, and no more sales. Visits were really due to the time of the post, and the groups really do not like adverts in them, or certainly not from the same person regularly so might have to think of a strategy, or consider other avenues to work with...maybe twitter?

        Open to any thoughts or suggestions!
