Is there a way to get a lot of views on Twitter fast?

Is it through Twitter messages that people get lots of followers, or it through the #hashtags feature?

Where does most traffic on Twitter come from?

    From my experience, hashtags are only used to group a specific category of postings. For instance, if you have a lot of posts that are relevant to each other in some way, you can use a hashtag to put a title on those specific postings.

    If the hashtag catches someone's interest, they will begin reading those posts.

      I was looking for free traffic, not paid traffic.
    • As Josh said, though there are ways to market an event by dictating the #nameofgrouppostings that people engage to. This could then be measurable as people retweet your promoted event/product.

      Virality comes in many different forms. And one of my favorites are buzzwords that becomes retweeted by known twitter celebrities.
  • It is really hard to get real followers, because many people will have to know you, most people follow other people and expect to get a followback. You can also try addmefast, but the real followers from there will disappear in a week and all the other ones just want to click to have points so they will not be really following you, you can use addmefast mostly to raise the number of your followers, so that others can think that you are famous or something and then it will be easier for them to follow you.

    • Yeah I know paid advertising works (OF COURSE), but some people are just beginning at IM& Twitter and are not making much money just yet.

      They still live paycheck to paycheck, (like me), and simply couldn't afford to pay for expensive advertising fees.

      Therefore, they need to utilize free Twitter traffic.

      I mean, I've made just a little less than a dozen sales online, but I've never gotten to the point where I have been able to make enough to afford expensive advertising fees on Twitter.
  • Then you need to make your twitter address know on the internet, giving lot of help around, posting picture on other social media channel, informercial, blog post etc.

  • From what I've experienced, it takes a while to build a good twitter following. I used Twiends at first and that helped me get started. People started to like it and then retweeted my tweets so that helped build it up more. I have about 2300 followers now without really trying that hard. The twitter page is here .

  • Hashtags are a niche way of getting people to follow/look at something specific you've tweeted. I guess if you tweet something interesting enough to catch someone's eye, it spreads around virally.
