YT advertising - optimal overlay/image
I'm new to YT ads and I'm trying to clarify some stuff before I let my campaign run.
1/ Can I add anything clickable on the video? Other than the small bit (expandable) in the left corner of the screen? For example an image? ( there is an option to upload an image up to 150 kb - should I use it?)
The thing about this overlay is that it's so small (25 characters of text + display url) that I can't say much in there.
I added an image but only a small thing is showing on top of the overlay. I also added annotation in YT account on top - also a small thing and I suspect it won't show anyway....
2/ Should I use "keywords" from keyword research in the "keywords" tab? If I understand correctly those will be keywords people type in in yt search box when looking for something. In an article in Search Engine Watch author suggests to use "youtube keyword tool" but it seems to be dead at the moment.
I would appreciate any tips for a beginner. My budget to test waters is $500 and I have 4 video ads already uploaded to the channel
I also don't know if this kind of budget I should make different segments (with different interests etc) or just one.
Thanks in advance guys,
JJ
