Web Marketing Tools That Use Social Media

(This is my way of giving back to the community after reading many helpful posts as a guest.)

We can't deny how important and prevalent social media is in today's society. Having said that, as marketers we need to adapt accordingly in terms of our marketing strategies or risk losing out. With that, I would like to start a thread listing web marketing tools or services that integrate with social media in some form or another. I think it'd be very useful for all of us here, especially the newbies.

I'll start the ball rolling by listing those that I know of.

Virool (virool.com)
It's specifically for promoting Youtube videos. Basically, your videos will be shown on Virool's network of publishers which includes social networks and you pay whenever someone views your video. Pricing is set via bidding, like Google Adwords (if you are familiar with that). Demo accounts can be requested.

Vrilla (vrilla.com)
This one is for promoting discount codes and web links. Affiliate discount codes are allowed too. They integrate animated games with social sharing. Your campaigns are run as reward challenges. In a nutshell, people play your reward challenge and if they win, they would be asked to share your reward challenge on their social networks (FB, G+ or Twitter) before the reward (your discount code or web link) is shown. They do offer a free account but with some limitations.

Perfect Audience (perfectaudience.com)
This is for remarketing your brand to site visitors who bounce from your site. Basically, whenever people visit your site, they'll be tagged with a tracking cookie. Then, when they log into their FB account, Perfect Audience will display your ad to them. For Twitter, an automated, customisable tweet will be sent to them on your behalf using your handle. All these serve to keep your brand fresh in these users' minds, in the hopes of convincing those undecided ones to commit into making a purchase. There's a 14-day free trial to try out their service.

That's all that I know of. If you know of any others, please share them in this thread. Kindly follow the same format as above by stating the name of the web service/tool, web address, items that can be promoted through the service and how the service functions. No affiliate links please. Just the homepage. Also, let's not derail this thread by posting user reviews. This is simply meant to be a list. Moreover, I've realised that marketing using social media is highly industry and user-specific. Someone might have mediocre results with a certain web marketing service/tool but someone else selling a different product/service might literally be making a killing in sales with it. It's just crazy. So I think it's in everyone's benefit to try such services out for themselves instead of just relying on reviews. With most web services offering a free trial or even a free account, it's of no cost to you to test them out.

Lastly, please put aside your fears of losing out to your competitors just because you tell others about an effective web marketing tool that you use. There's a billion dollar market out there across a variety of industries. Trust me, there's plenty to go around. Plus, these tools can only help so much. At the end of the day, it's still your product/service that matters. Never forget that. Thank you and God bless.

    Here are some more:

    Viralwoot (viralwoot.com)
It's for promoting your Pinterest profile and images. After you sign up, your Pinterest profile will be made available to Viralwoot's network of Pinterest users. You would also be able to promote your Pinterest pins there. Free accounts are available (some limitations). Obviously, this service works best if you're selling visually-captivating products like jewellery, crafts, pastries, scenery photos, etc. If you're selling other stuff like ebooks, then it's better to give this a pass.

    Buffer (bufferapp.com)
While it's not a marketing tool per se, it does help to increase the effectiveness of your engagement through social media like Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. It's actually an update scheduler that helps you to post your updates later at your desired intervals which frees up your time and ensures that your updates receive more attention since the service can help you determine the time when your updates receive the most attention. Free accounts are available but with some restrictions.
