New to FB ads

I created an ad for a Teespring campaign. I never used ads before and have a few questions.

How long does it take for my ad to reach people?

Does Facebook charge me my full lifetime limit instantly when I open the ad?

If I don't use my whole limit and close my ad early am I still charged the full amount?

Thanks

  • Hiya,

Take a couples of hours (half a day maybe.) to reach peoples
Your charged only what you spend and take a couples of day before it's charged on your credit card.

    Good luck

    • I have a FB personal account but want to learn how to setup a fan page with "LIKE" button - can you show me where to get the info? Thanks much.

  • 1) All my Fb ads started from 8:00 AM EDT (I couldn't setup an earlier time):

    2) It depends by your campaign: you can setup a daily or lifetime budget (also there are some advanced options: CPC, CPM, CPA, etc).

    3) For many times I closed my ads early, and I was charged only for the cost of campaigns until the moment it was closed, not for full day or lifetime budget.
  • The amount of time an ad takes to start reaching people varies. I've had ads take anywhere from 5 minutes to overnight before they started showing. Now that I'm spending nearly a thousand per day on advertising, my ads are showing a lot faster than they were before.

Facebook won't charge you until they've actually shown the ads. If you shut down a campaign, they'll stop billing you, but if you're using CPC, you might get charged for a handful of clicks that occur after you shut the campaign down.
