Lets pretend im trying to send people to an external opt in page
- First start with Right column ads so you know whether an ad will perform well and you don't waste money with all the non-relevant interaction clicks you have to pay for when using news feed ads (likes, comments etc).
- Use these clicks to test your opt in page and also test the facebook ads.
- Tweak until you have both the external page and ads performing well, split test etc.
- ONLY WHEN you have a decent CTR and Conversion Ratio should you broaden your reach on facebook ads by including News feed ads.
