Need Help With My FB Fanpage Regarding Engagement...

So, about 3 days ago, I started promoting (advertising) my Facebook Fan Page,

I actually started the page July 28th, but didn't start promoting it till a few days later.

While I notice I'm getting a lot of "page likes" (over 500 in a little over 2 days), which I guess is good, my posts/pictures are not getting a lot of "engagement" (likes, comments, etc...).

This is kind of a stark contrast to my other Fan Page:

Where I'm getting a lot of likes, but my posts and pictures are getting a lot of likes and engagements (likes and comments) as well.

Granted, I started promoting Writing Fiction in mid-May and it's been about 2 months since I had to pay for any traffic. Most of my "likes" after mid-June were free (I believe it's called "organic") for Writing Fiction, but I believe even in the first week of promoting, my posts were getting some engagement.

I'm using a very similar advertising method for "Disturbing Horror Stories" as I am for "Writing Fiction", but the results are different.

Am I doing something wrong with "Disturbing Horror Stories"? Is there perhaps something wrong with my posts?

A part of the reason I started this page is because of my recent love for horror movies and horror novels (I'm currently reading H.P. Lovecraft... next on my list is "Picture of Dorian Gray"), but I'm not sure if perhaps choose the wrong niche to go to. I thought, based on the success of Stephen King and Clive Barker, that horror stories is a profitable niche. Could I be wrong?

Or, perhaps it all depends on the type of audience? "Writing Fiction" is focused more on fiction writers and those who aspire to be fiction writers while "Disturbing Horror Stories" is more focused on those who love reading horror (I put pictures up hoping they would get likes).

Perhaps I should consider expanding it to "Disturbing Horror Stories and Art Work?"

Again, it's only been about 3 days and I am getting "page likes" for "Disturbing Horror Stories", just not as much post likes and engagement. I don't know if that will hurt my standings with Facebook.

Any advice would be appreciated.
