Latest announcement lets users message each other, and to hold conversations over pins. Suddenly, Pinterest is much more of a social network.

    Every day millions of pins are sent via messenger. And, now Pinterest users can attach a 'note' to each, allowing for others to participate in a conversation about that specific pin. This is useful when you need feedback. For instance, a bride to be could send a photo pin of bridesmaid dresses she wants to use in the wedding to every member of the wedding party. And, she could ask for feedback. This same technique could be applied when sending pins to your most active customers, allowing you to show them products you now have available and asking if this is something they would be interested in buying.
