You can do this by using HootSuite. You can get a free account and it is fine. It is easy to cloak your links on HootSuite too. Just put your affiliate link, or whatever you need to cloak into the box on the status bar area and it will generate a bit.ly link for you.

    Hope this helps

Alternatively, you can type out the url and leave a space before .com i.e. MyURL .com (Copy & Paste). I hope my little effort helps?

Don't you think visitors will not bother to remove the space and go to my link ? What you think ?

Tweetdeck, twitters official app, will auto shorten urls and you can put in bit.ly credentials to do so, so they don't have a problem with cloaked links.

I've never had any issue putting in any url, shortened or otherwise, into twitter, so what do you mean it's "stopping you"??

Like the other suggestions, use a third-party app like HS or TD. Most offer link-cloaking but you'll have it double or triple cloaked. With HS, you'll see owl.ly then bit.ly then your link. Or if Twitter cloaks the link too, it goes through that one too.

While you're at this, why don't you optimize your work by using a tool that also posts to Facebook too? You could be doubling your impact, with one action. Tripling if you can use a tool that posts to G+ too.

i personally always like to redirect an url from my own domain, simply create a folder on my site with ftp and put a index file in it that redirects to the affiliate offer, this way you also have control over what the url looks like and seems more professional

I switched up my bit ly to the j mp version. So it looks a little different. But twitter has never given me problems with it.

zti.me is a good one as well. If you are using Wordpress then you can use the PrettyLinks plugin and it will make your links look better.

Another way that you can find other LInk Shorteners is to go to a website called similarsites.com and put your actual website in there such as bit.ly and you will get a big list of other websites that have the same capabilities should work.

    I really hope this helps!
