Does FB allow this?... (re: private groups)

Can I start a PRIVATE FB group, and then charge people to let them in as members of the group?

OR, as a workaround -- can I make it a REQUIREMENT of being accepted into the group, that they have PURCHASED something else (a particular thing)?

Do either of these scenarios violate the FB tos?

Please advise.

Thanks!

In my point, I won't join any group without knowing about it. And how useful it will be to me.

I don't now whether I am be right or wrong, but it was my opinion about it.

  • No.

    Why join?

    What is in the group?

    Why is it so valuable?

I've seen Facebook groups that are only advertised from within product funnels. You buy a product and are then invited to join the group as a perk of being an owner of the product. I don't think that violates any of Facebook's terms of service.

As far as charging someone to join a group...I have no clue. I was able to find a number of people asking that same question in the Facebook Community Help section, but there was never a definitive answer from Facebook. I'd ask them directly before attempting it myself.

You also have the added bonus of knowing the people in your group are known buyers and are willing to spend money online...

I don't think so, and private group are not really secure.
