How I Bank $100 - $300 Per Day On Instagram With Ease

Hello Warriors,
I know lots of people have probably been trying to crack the code to making money on Instagram and I have done it. It isn't something I invented myself it came from spending tons of time on Instagram. I started noticing these cool niche accounts that were about all kinds of things like bodybuilding, fitness, weight loss, funny memes, funny videos, cool cars, cool trucks, colorful things, luxury houses, treehouses, movie scenes, cool quotes, music video clips and all sorts of niche accounts that had great pics and videos to look at.

After a while of following these accounts I started to take a close look at them and was astounded to see that most all of them had anywhere from 100k - 2 million followers. I also noticed, since I was following them, that they were doing something called a shout out which is where they tell their followers to go and follow this cool new account they found and I realized quickly that this was similar to solo ads from email list building. Then they started doing what is called a shout out for shout out which is where 2 accounts each promote the other persons account to their massive following which is similar to adswaps again from the email list building technique.

When I took a look at their bios they all had something that said - For Business/Promos contact me here: and they would list their email address and/or Kik username(Kik is an instant messaging app). So it turns out after I contacted them to find out how to get a shout out that they were charging for them and taking payments by paypal. So a shout out was something you paid for and a shout out for shout out was a free exchange between 2 accounts. I started to follow all the large accounts I could find and in my photo stream they were always shouting out accounts all day so I started following those accounts. I noticed lots of these accounts grow from nothing to hundreds of thousands of followers very fast and then they would turn around and put the same thing in their bios - For Business/Promos email me or Kik me and then they would start selling shout outs themselves.

So I thought this was a great easy way to make money so I emailed all the large accounts I had in a notes file(I'm on an iPhone) that had an email address and found out their rates and learned how they charge - some by the day and some by the hour. So I paid my way to 120k followers with my first niche account which took about a month of slowly randomly getting shout outs for my account and probably spent $500-$700 dollars. I didn't keep great track of it because it was a whole bunch of small payments over and over. I then put my gmail address in the bio and started to promote myself for free on Instagram by liking and commenting on photos of these large accounts and in about a week I got my first order for a shout out. I charged $30 for it for 4 hours. That means I would post the person requesting the shout outs picture and put in the comments for my followers to follow them and I would list their account name 10 times which is clickable and you couldn't miss it because it was listed 10 times and I left it in my account for 4 hours which gave my followers a good chance of seeing it in their photo stream. I was super excited at this point. After getting a few more orders I started pouring the money back into paid shout outs to start growing my other niche accounts I was working on. By the way that first account of mine was funny memes and jokes and all pics, no videos at this point.

So my other accounts started to grow quickly. I would go to hashtag categories and download photos I liked with an app called Instant Save(you can't save pics or videos from within the Instagram app itself so you need Instant Save) and just re-upload them to my account. So getting the content for your account is super easy plus you can find loads of pics on your computer and transfer them to your iphone with iTunes.
Now this is big business on Instagram and more and more people are jumping on this easy cash bandwagon by the day but compared to the amount of users on Instagram I don't think this could ever get saturated. Anyway now I have 5 accounts ranging form 70k - 135k and growing more and more by the day. People love these niche accounts as they provide fun, cool and interesting content to look at. You of course want to get user engagement so in the comments you can say anything like comment and tag your friends if you think they will like this and this spreads you around more and gets you more followers for free.

By the way shout outs get you actual REAL followers. As you may know there are loads of sites online where you can buy followers but most of them are fake followers and they even say that in their ads. But fake followers are totally useless. If you built a massive account with fake followers and charges for a shout out you would be scamming people and they would never order from you again and they would comment on all your pics saying this person is a scammer so it wouldn't pay off if you tried the fake followers route. These methods of buying shout outs from large accounts are great because they actually get you REAL followers which will give you a long term sustainable business.

So if you want to look into this just launch your Instagram app and use the search feature and type in things like funny memes, bodybuilding, fitness, weight loss, cars, trucks, funny videos, etc and you'll find these large accounts. I would recommend setting up one Instagram account just for following these large accounts so you can see how they run their business and very, very quickly you will figure it out and know what you have to do to cash in yourself. Basically you need a massive following and you can pay for it and build up your following quickly. You could also find other accounts that have the same following as you can Direct Message them to do a shout out for shout out which is like an adswap and is free and build your account totally free if you want.

But this is what the big dogs are doing on Instagram. You can also do what is called a Promo where you charge a business to advertise their product, service or website to your followers. Basically these massive large accounts are a great source of traffic on Instagram. You can even just search for them and have them do a Promo for yourself and promote things like your own products, affiliate offers, CPA offers and even Tee Spring Tee Shirts. Just go to the search feature in Instagram and click hashtags and type in teespring and you will see loads of people promoting tee spring tee shirts.

These accounts are like advertising platforms with their massive followings. They are like the Instagram Ads of Instagram before Instagram has even rolled out their inevitable advertising platform. I also think that Instagram is a prime candidate for a partner program like the YouTube Partner program where people who post popular videos and get loads of views share in the advertising revenue with YouTube. If Instagram ever implements a partner program they will do it with these large accounts so having a large account can put you in prime position to cash in big if they ever implement a partner program.

Also you can promote your stuff with Hashtags for free. Just post your pic and you can add up to 30 hashtags per pic. A hashtag is a keyword with the pound sign in front of it - for example - #teespring, #weightloss, #bodybuilding, #funnymemes etc. Using hashtags categorizes your images under those hashtags so when people search through those hashtag categories they can see your pic and then if they click the pic they can see the pic and the comments below it. So you can promote stuff for free by using hashtags.

Well that's it. Any questions or anything just post below I will try to check in daily to answer any questions you may have about making money with this method on Instagram.

Thanks,
Mike

  • Hi Mike, what you have discovered is explained here or do you have mote information or do you coach?
    • [1] reply
    • I have a course on this you can do a search for it, I don't think I can list it here, or search threads by my username. I don't offer coaching as it's just too easy.

  • Interesting. I've never thought of Instagram as a source of income. I'm going to have to do some research! Thanks.
    • [1] reply
    • That's what I thought for a while also it seemed everyone was making money with Facebook, Twitter and G+ but after spending loads of time on Instagram I stumbled across what others were doing so I gave it a try and it works great.

  • HI Mike

I bought your course. How much time do you spend posting each day? I am really getting in to it but do not want to overdue it and annoy my followers.

    Sincerely,
    Caterina
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • Hi Caterina. I post 1-5 pics per account per day and have no complaints from anyone. I could see if you had a lot of followers and you posted 20 pics every 20 minutes you might annoy some people but with 1-5 pics a day you'll probably not annoy anyone. People want to see pics in their photo stream. Like they say content is king and on Instagram the content is pictures so keep it to 1-5 or even 10 pics a day per account and you should have no problems or complaints.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Thanks for posting this, definitely something to consider looking in to not only as an income source but a great source of website traffic. I have a feeling a similar thing happens on Twitter. I recently made an account related to my website and have noticed a lot of niche twitter pages with 30k + followers.
    • [1] reply
    • Actually I spend loads of time on Instagram and not too much on Twitter so I was unaware of similar on Twitter. I guess I'll check out Twitter some more and see if people are doing the same there. I also spend more time on Instagram than Facebook, way more. So I guess it was inevitable that I stumbled upon this money making method. I am seeing more and more people promoting Tee Spring Tee Shirts also. And yes these large accounts are a great source of traffic so you could actually pay them to promote your products, affiliate products, CPA offers or Tee Spring Tees instead of waiting to grow your own account to the point where you can promote your stuff for free. But to have other large accounts promo you they will charge unless you cut a deal with them to share in the profits for free promos. I actually haven't tried that yet.
  • Wow!! Nice... How can I use instagram to drive traffic??
    • [3] replies

    • I've noticed that if you use niche relevant hashtags put inside your posts, you can get lots of likes on your photos - within hours. I got like 5 likes the first day of posting my picture.
      • [1] reply
    • Do a search for the niche you want and find anyone who has say 50k - 100k up to 2 million followers and if they have an email address or Kik username(kik is an instant messaging app) in their Instagram accounts bio that should also say for Business/Promos then you can pay them for a paid post which will expose your ad(image plus comment) to their massive following which can get you tons of traffic. You can either build up your own account(s) by paying for shout outs for them to promote your account and get you REAL followers so you can then promote stuff to your followers for free or pay the people with large followings to promote your stuff to their followers.
      • [ 3 ] Thanks
    • Hi there,
I have been using Instagram for promoting my blog posts.
Apart from ShoutOuts, you can make a dedicated business account and post creative content on it. Also you can post images from your blog/website and add link in BIO so that your followers can visit the article or Webpage.

  • Thanks Mike!

I've always thought instagram is not used enough in terms of online promotion. I'm interested i giving it a shot soon.
  • can I log into instagram from a laptop or does it have to be on a phone?
    • [1] reply
    • You can use a laptop to login to Instagram by using sites like Iconosquare.com or websta.me but I'm not sure if they let you upload images or just view Instagram. To upload images you need a program called Bluestacks which is an android emulator that lets you install the Instagram App and use it just like you would on a smartphone so you can do everything you need to with bluestacks but I think through them you can only set up 2 Instagram accounts. For more accounts you just have to set them up on your smartphone which is very easy and then use them on bluestacks on your PC(not sure if its available for Mac)

  • Thanks for sharing. People are doing the similar things on Facebook.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • On Facebook, really. That I did not know and now I will look into it. Someone else above said this was being done on Twitter also. If you did this on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook you can get people REAL followers which is what people want. There are tons of sites that sell fake followers from fake accounts and once those accounts get banned you followings will drop drastically so FAKE follower are completely useless. If you did what I teach on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter you can start another business selling social media services of charging people to get them 100% REAL followers. This is very exciting news to me.
  • Great post! thanks for sharing this easy business model!
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • Your welcome. It is very easy. The tricky part is getting loads of followers but by paying you can be in business real quick but once you have them maintaining this business only takes minutes per day or up to 10 minutes so it is very easy and if you do it on a smartphone you can do it anywhere even on the beach.
  • Thanks for the post Mike! Really interesting read! I've done similar on twitter which this model also works for ( although it was promoting businesses ).
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Read what you posted I think its good details , my focus is on more on the cpa side my only problem would be when I put my aff link IG makes me take it off any tips for that.

  • Awesome share, Mike.

Do you see many accounts of this nature outside of the humor / celeb / etc. niche?
    • [1] reply
    • There are many niches and many accounts per niche. Just use the search feature to find anything you want by keyword.
  • I'll be trying this! Thanks for this method!

I'm also working on doing a similar thing with Pinterest, except for promoting Amazon affiliate products!

If it's successful I'll make sure to make a thread about it!

Once again, thank you so much for this method!
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Hey again!

I had a quick question about accepting payments for this method!

Do you accept them over paypal? Or like escrow?

If you do use paypal, do you ever have issues with payments being like reversed after your shoutout is completed?

    Thank you so much!
    • [1] reply
    • Everyone uses paypal and paypal only. Actually you may be able to send a money order to a bunch of them. But generally paypal. I never had a transaction reversed on Instagram.
      • [1] reply
  • This is a method i might try in the future. And i really don't see how this could get over saturated since there's so many instagram users.
  • Method rendered void for anyone starting now who is not willing to pay several thousand dollars to get to 50k followers with no actual guarantee of getting a return before some kind of other disaster happens such as instagram ads or being randomly banned.
    • [1] reply
    • [DELETED]
    • Method not rendered void as evident by the rise of sites like these:

      igshoutouts.com
      buysellshoutouts.com

and there are a bunch more. It works and works great but it is expensive to buy your way to 50k-100k now as everyone is catching on that there in the lucrative advertising business and its not just some silly way to make a few bucks from shoutouts.

I'm working on methods to get to 100k for several hundred instead of several thousand and one is working so far and will keep track of it and release it in my instadomination 2.0 if it or other methods work out for cheap or even free. So far I got 10k followers for $20 bucks but it took almost 2 months of automatic hands off work to get to the 10k for that little.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • That is awesome. Good job, buddy. Does this also work for viral content sites? Have you found an effective way to post a link through Instagram?
    • [1] reply
    • Well for an example if you have a funny memes site you can create a funny memes instagram account and get it set up with a bunch of pics of memes and when you post a new pic you can say in the comments - "click the link in our bio for more funny memes" and you can link to your site with an active clickable link. Any links you put in the comments will not be clickable so it would have to be short and sweet to get people to type it in their address bar.
  • Good stuff OP! I'll be putting this into the arsenal. Thanks for sharing this strategy Mike.

It works in a very similar way for Twitter as well, the difference is that it costs you much less,

it largely depends on the tools that you use. if you use some spam softwares, then your whole account will be lost, and all the months that you spent building it

I find it a little strange that still some people pay for "shoutouts" which practically exist for just few hours on Instagram
    • [1] reply
    • Actually if you have the cash to burn shoutouts can get you to 100k followers in about a week and then you can start to earn that back selling shoutouts and promos.

Plus since most charge per half hour or so now that's ok since most of the coverage your going to get is after they post your pic and your still in peoples photo feed eventually you scroll down and off the bottom so one hour to three max is all I do now.

Are most of these instagram users that are so active and join new profiles all the time, in the under 18 years old category of age?
    • [1] reply
    • Actually I'm finding people of all ages follow actively but especially the younger audience. It seems to me that on your personal facebook account you would follow friends, family, coworkers and classmates is the norm. But on instagram it seems to be like a contest - Whoever has the most followers is the winner - seems to be the motto of many on instagram. It's the cool thing to have loads of followers on Instagram.
  • Very interesting method! Thanks for sharing
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Mike,

What specific Niches have you been getting into? Do you just strictly share other people's photos or do you also take snapshots of stuff and add to the content pool?
    • [1] reply
    • I'm into all kinds of niches like bodybuilding, fitness, funny memes, funny videos, weight loss, cars and am getting more accounts set up all the time. Right now I have 52 instagram accounts with content and 40 more I haven't set up at all yet, I just set up the username. I use other peoples phots after all it's a photo sharing network so most pics are fair game. I wouldn't EVER use a celebrity pic that says getty images on it as these are copyrighted and if I use a professional photographers pic I credit them by adding their account name in the comments.

I also make take my own pics sometimes when I'm outdoors and I make my own funny jokes and memes pics with photo apps like insta collage, pic lab hd, vidlab, LiPix pro, meme generator and I also have video accounts I make the videos out of photos(photo slideshow) with VidLab, Funimate and squareeady and a few others.

Instagram is growing fast, but it is owned by Facebook.

My bets are still on Twitter as the most profitable social network in our world
  • What does your followers says when you post a non relevant shout out?
    • [1] reply
    • I would say like 1-5 people will comment that they are unfollowing but the majority of people are used to it and stay with me. I never post 2 shoutouts/promos together. For example if I have a bunch of orders for posts and I need to do a few at once I will post one and then post one or two regular content related to my account and then another shoutout or promo. Whatever you set up your rates to be say like $30 for half hour or $40 for two hours make sure that when the time is up you delete those posts so as not too clutter up your account with ads. I never have more than 3 - 6 up at once per account.
      • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • Do the people that want to advertise on your pages contact you? Or have you posted what you offer somewhere? How does that work?
    • [1] reply
    • Great question. So far I have just added my email address and Kik username to my Instagram accounts bio and people have been finding me because I am promoting myself with shoutouts and with Instagress which is just $9.95 per month per Instagram account you set up with them.

I haven't tried it yet but there are a few big sites that have sprung up to organize this shoutout/promo business and help you get orders. The 2 biggest are:

      igshoutouts.com
      buysellshoutouts.com

So you can use them and that will help you get orders.

One person has so many social media followings that he has his own website to sell his services here:
      wedofollowers.com
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

  • Great post/thread. I'm not a big Instagram guy myself, certainly no expert. Mostly because my main business is clients and running social media for local businesses and contractors- people who don't see the value in it (even though it is worthwhile IMHO). They love Facebook and Twitter. Also, Instagram made it impossible for tools/dashboards to integrate it into their post scheduling. At least when I was really getting started. So, it has been much more labor intensive (=more expensive to offer) and I have limited time for my own brands.

So, reading stuff like this always amazes me and I am very appreciate of anything I can learn here and of posters who take the time share ideas and go in depth without just pushing products.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Wow mike this is great. I've been very much interested into Instagram for a few months now and slowing building my followers. I've thought about buying shout outs as i've seen that's the trend. I need to go about starting other account not related to my business.
    • [1] reply
    • I'm up to 52 active accounts now but most are just reaching 6k now as I went a little crazy and made loads of niche accounts and I have a bunch in the same niche even. While the prices for shoutouts have been going up I have been looking for new methods to gain followers for either free or cheap and I have been using Instagress.com and have been able to add approx 5000 followers to each of my accounts I have loaded into instagress per month for just $9.95 per month. Instagress is working great and I think thst with its new features I will be able to get to 100k for very cheap compared to shoutout prices.
  • Great mikey..but honestly, have you ever experienced any of your instagram accounts permanently banned by using instagress?
    • [1] reply
    • I had just one account get permanently locked on me and I believe its because I was using instagress at the time that I logged into that same account on my smartphone and started to upload some images. I'm not sure but I believe this trips some kind of Instagram security and shows as double access to one account and it got locked, I believe temporarily, and I had to do a password reset but since I registered that account with a fake email I couldn't get the password reset email and lost that account. But I haven't done that since and now have 52 Instagram accounts in my Instagress account and no issues from any of them for months now. I also only set up accounts with a good working email addresses now.
  • Great thread here..

Anyway, does anyone here..maybe mikey..did u notice that since last week, instagram start with new algorithm to quickly block ( temporarily) for unfollow several people in 1 hour? i used to unfollow 200 people in less than 15min before, with no prpoblem.
    • [2] replies
    • Don't know anything about that. I think with instagress they control your account so it doesn't break any instagram limitations.
    • Yes, this is extremely annoying. I have a small account around 6k and have not bought a shout out yet. I have just been doing follow/unfollow. As if that isn't annoying enough, unfollowing people this last week has been unreal. I get temporarily blocked everyday. I will NEVER be mass following again because of this.

  • Mikey , when u said u gain 5000 followers using instagress, did u use one instagress acc for one instagram acc?

i believe we can share several instagram acc in one instagress? ( but needto rotate and take turn?)

And i believe u use "fast" setting to get 5000 followers? is it safe?
    • [1] reply
    • I use normal speed only. I have seen some instagress videos on youtube and most recommend the normal setting so as to stay safe within instagrams limitations. Although if they have fast It may be ok to use but I only use normal speed. Slow speed is too slow but normal works great. I get approx 5000 followers per Instagram account I have set up in instagress. Right now I have 52 instagram accounts set up working in instagress. You don't need to rotate them, you can have them all running at once.
      • [1] reply
  • I'm definitely going to test out some of these ideas on my in-house brands. I've got one account I think is just perfect and fits the niche of the types of accounts you see doing a lot of shout outs and growing with the typical Instagram demographic, with a twist. I've mostly been growing by making comments and follows manually, but I'm going to test some relevant shout-outs to get into the good zone for exchanges and then probably buy my way up to the mid 5-6 figures.
    • [1] reply
    • I too used to do manually but it got so tedious and time consuming now I just use Instagress. Except to repond to comments I still have to do that manually. I don't trust random crappy bots that you use from your computer and I think those can get your account closed if not very careful. Instagress is web based and they keep updating with new cool features so they seem to be in it for the long haul and I trust them now.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

  • Hello Mikey..

Using instagress, if we set to follow followers of Obama, say:
    1. John
    2. James
    3. Sarah

Then we unfollow all the three above manually (not using instagress), can we set instagress not to follow the three above in the future for the second time?

And, can we set instagress not to follow people with Bio containing words "sex", "gay" etc?
    • [1] reply
    • You would have to have followed them first with instagress then you can check the option to not follow same users after you unfollow them if you do it manually I don't think that would work. Although you can contact instagress to be sure about this and you can recommend a new feature you would like to see and if they think it will be useful to users they may add it. they add cool new features all the time.

I don't see how you can not follow people according to text in their bio, but you can recommend it to instagress and they may add it if it's possible.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Thanks for the tips. I'd say that Instagram is really quite new and unexplored when it comes to marketing and the best way to bank on it is now. You have some great ideas here that I can try with another idea that I have.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Thanks mikey u r very helpful.

Can i ask, everyday (24hr), do u switch 12hr for "following" and 12hrs for "unfollowing"?

And for "normal" setting, how many people does each of ur instagram acc follow everyday? 500? 800? do u monitor?

    thanks mikey

    • Actually I guess I have been lazy about that. I usually follow until I hit 7500 followers and then I first unfollow those I followed but didn't follow me back and then I either start following again or now there is a new feature "unfollow all" which now let's you unfollow everyone which seems great because unfollowing those who don't follow you back ends you may only have unfollowed 1000 and that will keep shrinking as time goes by. I accidentaly let one account go on unfollow for too long and unfollowed about 6500 without following anyone in the time. That account is fine.

As far as how many each day I gave up checking 52 accounts. I look at per month so I gain on average of 4500-5500 per month per account running it about 24 hours in a row to get to 600 likes then it stops as that's how I set it up. Plus I think Instagress keeps you under the instagram liking, commenting, following limits. Then I give it 8-12 hours off and restart.
  • Keep it simple with instagram these days. They are currently in a banning spree and unfollowing is the main reason lot of accounts got banned. I recommend 100 following/24h and 100 unfollowing/24h...5/hour. You should be safe with this setup.

  • Hi Mikeyman. I'm back. Can I ask if you can suggest some profitable niches? Also, I am quite curious with the following mechanism because Instagram is now suddenly lowering the number of followers for some reason.
    • [1] reply
    • Fitness and body building are two of the biggest niches and then the car niche. In the car niche I mostly see people promoting teespring teeshirts and bodybuilding and fitness get a lot of promo business for health supplements.

  • Thanks mikey u r awesome !!

Some other questions for instagress. If u have 50 acc in the instagress, do u have any kind of proxy? or instagress sort it out for u?

if u want to post smthing on ur own instagram in ur own mobile phone for those 50acc, do u just Stop All button in instagress? or do u also "Disconnect" button as well? i am afraid if instagress see u are login for both instagress and own mobile phone

And third question. Do u really wait for 2 hrs to login into ur own instagram in ur mobile phone after stop using instagress? or 5min "wait time" is enough?

    thanks mikey
    • [1] reply
    • Instagress handles it. I wouldn't login to your account to upload pics while it's running on instagress. I would wait 2 hours between stopping instagress and logging into your account to upload pics just to be safe it caused me a password reset error once. It's working for me. Maybe five minutes is good. who knows.

  • Growing 5k followers a month will take you around a year and a half. In a year and a half,a 100k account will be considered small because of how many huge accounts there are now and they're growing at a much faster rate than 5k a month. In all the most popular niches there are hundreds off accounts that are 100k+ right now and they are barely getting any shoutout business simply because there are loads of much larger pages. Stop giving people false hope. I'm surprised these people cant tell that you are just promoting Instagress with this thread. Instagram has made a lot big changes to prevent users from growing large accounts by automation. Everyone reading this now is too late to the instagram game unless you have thousands to spend. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this thread is misleading and no longer relevant.
    • [1] reply
    • I already said you don't have to use just instagress. You can use them to get to 10k-20k and then start doing shoutout for shoutout which is like adswaps and is completely free. So your calculations are a joke to me as everyone's journey will be different.

Then by your analogy no one should enter the world of Internet Marketing because there are now established marketers selling courses for 5k and super affiliates who have big budgets to spend on paid ads so no one should try to be successful in Internet Marketing and affiliate marketing because their are others way ahead of you so now there's no room for anyone else. BULL. Keep your negative attitude to yourself no one wants to hear it.

And I'm sure everyone reading this thread would like to know just how on earth you know who is getting shoutout business and who isn't. Also larger pages charge more so smaller accounts of 50k-200k are better for small businesses so not everyone can afford the larger accounts(1M-4M followers) rates.

Boy, you sure are a negative nelly. This system won't work........FOR YOU and others who want to spend all their time whining, complaining, bit@hing and moaning. I took massive action and it's working for me. I am not giving people false hope I am letting them know about a system that's working for me and hundreds of others. And if you don't have what it takes to be successful in anything don't try to drag people down to your level.

These people can't tell that I'm promoting Instagress because I'm not - are you saying I own Instagress and this is my genious plan to get more business for instagress. Well guess again - you're wrong. I don't own instagress or am not affiliated with them in any way i just love that it gets me loads of followers for extremely cheap so I have only good things to say about them. You took a wild chance in jumping to the conclusion and saying that I'm just promoting instagress but you are wrong. I applaud your effort though for trying to fool people into believing what you think is fact.

Then why don't they block instagress and put them out of business. Or launch a lawsuit against them if their violating their terms. Maybe you can explain that.

No body is too late to the instagram game since instagram is still pretty new the opportunities will only grow so this thread is more relevant then when it started.

  • I just started to build a few accounts last week. At what point/follower amount can you start doing shout outs? Do most of the people come to you, or do you send them an email/dm?

Can you give some examples of what you are seeing for pricing structures?

For example, an account with 50k followers on average charges $50 per post for 4 hours.

    Or

An account with 500k followers on average charges $400 for 4 hours.

Just a general overview of the pricing you have seen to be most common.
    • [1] reply
    • Actually I see people offering shoutouts now at just 10k and up. If you go to fiverr and search instagram shoutouts you will see people with all size accounts offering shouts for just $5. You also want to earn more if you can so have fiverr upsells for 30-60 minute increments for $5-$10 each 30-60 minutes or so.

As far as pricing structures I see all kinds of rates. Most of these people are catching on the fact that their basically in the advertising game and the advertising game is pretty lucrative so the rates have been going up but so have the following sizes also with most.

I've seen $30 shoutouts for 100k per hour and even per half hour. I've seen $100 per post for accounts with a million followers for just 30 minutes-60 minutes, Some will give you up to 24 hours for their rates it varies wildly from person to person. Like I said above people on fiverr are offering approx 30 minutes for $5. If you bought my course below the upsell is a huge list of big accounts ranging from 100k-4 million followers. What I did months ago was email them all and ask for their rates and you will find great bargains if you look. Also a tip for you, if you email a bunch of them then make sure you mention their account name and following size in the email to them and tell them you are interested in shoutouts/promos and you want them to send you their rates. What they will do is "reply" back to you and so your original email will of course be at the bottom so you will know who you are dealing with otherwise you'll get confused as to who is who.

I hoped I helped you but that is a tough question as rates vary greatly. Back 2 years ago shoutouts were just $3-$5 for even up to a 24 hour post. but the good news is you as an account holder with a large following can earn some decent money with this opportunity.

Here are a bunch of big accounts I posted above. You can email them and ask them to send you their rates for shoutouts/promos and you'll get an idea of what people are charging for their size following

Kik is a instant messaging app that works by username so you don't have to give out your cell phone number so it's very popular on instagram.

    • Thanks, I appreciate it. There's enough info to get you going.
  • Don't forget to make at least a few accounts in case something happens to one. Basically don't put all your eggs in one basket. If you work on and build just one account and it gets closed for whatever reason your done. So I would have 5 niche accounts at least.

I see accounts get closed and disappear all the time and can't say why as I simply don't know. But here is some news from my own 52 active accounts. I have had 52 accounts for over a year and a bunch for 2 years and only two ever got closed on me and I'm not sure why. Once I had 2 other accounts closed but they reactivated them in a few months that was like 2 years ago. Just this last summer 2015 on my music video clips page I posted a few 15 second clips of an big young artist's music video and her people found it and didn't seem to like it for some reason so they flagged my account but instead of Instagram closing it and banning me for life as we all know some big companies we use in IM like to do that but they instead deleted those 3 video clips and gave me a message about it and that was that, my account was safe. I have other tons of big name musicians and their music video clips and unless they contact Instagram to have them removed I guess they are ok with it. I guess they remove offending material as needed instead of ban you for life which is great.

I always reject a paid promo post if the image is too r-rated or above just to be safe. Even though it may only be up for a short time it could get your account closed if seen by ig staff. So basically I only lost 2 accounts in 2 years. One was hot girls pics which closed for who knows what reason and one was fitness which was older and had a fake email address in it. I then accidentally tripped instagrams security by having that account running in instagress and I logged into it on my smartphone and uploaded some pics. This caused a security password reset thing to happen and it sends the password reset to your email which was fake so I lost that account for good. So if you have someone on fiverr set you up instagram accounts make sure you have them use your real email address.

How much is post for 50k followers for 5 hours then?

    • [1] reply
    • Actually I haven't set any specific rates i vary them a little depending on my following size at the time and the amount of time I keep post up and by niche but I have charged $30-$50 for 50k following for 30 minutes but usually I will leave their post up for extra time ( like 60 minutes)and hope they appreciate that and keep advertising with me unless I'm very busy with posts and have to keep them moving. Sometimes I will go alseep and someone will get lucky and have their post up for 6-8 hours when they only paid for 1 hour.

    • Thanks mikeyman120 ! It's generous of you to share your experience and although I don't think everyone should follow your path exactly isn't this what IM is all about ? Seeing how other people are achieving their goals and adapting their ideas using your own skills.

My endgame isn't to sell shout outs but to promote my personal brands. Instagram doesn't seem to be great for traffic but you can easily get a lot of eyes on your images.

I spend quite a bit of time on my content and get about a 8-10% like rate. I have used Instagress fro follows and likes and think it's a great value service. I'm a bit wary of using comments though as I think this could be construed as spammy and this seems to the main reason for it getting people banned. Even using advanced Spintax seems to cause problems.

It appears that all it takes is somebody reporting you and you will get Instagram taking a look into your account. I will try some of the tricks in this thread and see how it goes.

  • Thanks for the info Morg ^

I just noticed the person who sets up my new IG accounts on fiverr is either away or stopped their account as it says they are unavailable to take orders now. So I guess I need a new person to set them up. Any chance you can give me the info for your person?

I guess I will be heading towards followliker for the savings having 52 accounts set up with content on them. I also have 50 more which were set up a while ago but never logged into them yet. They were $5 for 50 accounts but most of them are teen girl and young actresses from disney and nickolodean fan accounts. One for pics and one for videos I make with video apps, so two per actress. I figured I would promote things the younger crowd would like such as music, fashion, makeup, Dr. Dre headphones, movies, tee shirts etc.

When I first got on Instagram it became obvious that Instagram was dominated by the young. Trying to find someone 40 years old or over was nearly impossible. But the older crowd has been getting on there more and more.

I will need a valid email for those extra 50 accounts should I use them so I now turn to gmx.com for email addresses as I used up my share of gmails. I noticed that if I use an email address for one of my domains that I set up in my cpanel that I never get the verification email from Instagram for those email addresses but works fine with gmail and gmx.com

  • Great stuff Mike, what kind of advertisers do you think will work the best using this method on Instagram?
    • [1] reply
    • I see all kinds of businesses advertising. It depends on the niche really. Apps seem to do well. Especially apps related to Instagram like photo editing and video editing apps and also apps that help you get followers on instagram and ones that let you check your stats like who followed you, who unfollowed you etc.

People in the cars and trucks niche are promoting tee spring tee shirts all the time and they are making money but I can't be sure if they are advertising just on instagram or on maybe facebook also.

You should set up one account to follow just the big accounts so you can look at your feed and see what kind of stuff their promoting.
  • Hi Mikey..since u set up 52 acc with instagress, do u notice smthing wrong today? I have setup 11 acc with instagress but today i notice, about 7-8 acc of them only follow 3-12 people per hour which is ridiculous. It worked good before (following 20-25 per hour).

did instagress programmers do any update on the software or smthing or is it only me experiencing this kinda issue?
    • [1] reply
    • You can only follow 7500 accounts with any one account. It sounds like those accounts are near 7500 and it's time for you to switch to unfollow for a while. Check to see if that is the case and post back and let me know.

It could also be your follow settings for example if you are following the followers of some user you may have followed them all just about which will cause your follow rate to slow down.
  • No mikey..the followings are less than 1000-4000 only. It seems to me that instagress is updating their algorithm. It become worse

It affects 5 of my accounts (out of 11). After 6 hours, only follow 10-17 people only. That means it only follow 2-3 people per hour..Haha..so bad..i can manually follow 150 in just 5min with my hand.

All my 11 acc worked great for 1-2 months until yesterday suddenly 5 of my acc got affected.

    • I'm not sure then you should email them if it's still happening to find out the solution.
  • Basically what you told is the way Youtube marketing works as well, it's just heaven to promote protein powder or anything else related in bodybuilding niche, ofcourse if you provide pics and videos on a daily basis.
  • I am not very fond of Instagram because it's really hard to manage multiple accounts. I can use Hootsuite to manage multiple Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn accounts etc in a breeze. But for Instagram, you have to use your phone to post even if you can schedule images in Hootsuite. Do you have any advice on multiple Instagram management?
    • [1] reply
    • I saw that with hootsuite. It just reminds you it's time to post but you have to go into your instagram app to do it. So not sure if any actually let you post.

Here is some info from post #140. Someone says you can schedule with these two but I have never tested them so not sure. I just do it from my smartphone. I only add pics or videos to about 5-10 accounts a day lately so I'm not posting to all my accounts everyday. But since Facebook owns Instagram and facebook has post scheduling I think it will just be a matter of time before Instagram has it so I'll just wait I guess.

From post #140 in this thread:
I have tested these 2 and work really well:

      a) Schedugram
      b) https://onlypult.com

  • Wow, thanks for the tips! I never knew shout outs could make such a huge impact. You were able to get over 100k for 500-700$ worth of shout outs? Any idea how many shout outs you did?
    • [1] reply
    • Actually that was 2 years ago now when shout outs were just $3-$5 each now they range from $20-$300 depending on niche and following. I think now it will cost from $1500-$3000 depending on niche. Like fitness is more expensive then say funny videos or funny memes accounts so it varies a bit. But you can use Instagress to get say 5k-10k followers in a month or two and then do shoutout for shoutout with other accounts approx your size and shoutout for shoutouts are free so you don't have to pay your way all the way to 100k unless you can afford it with no probem.

  • Very timely and relevant post. Thanks for sharing.
  • Hey everyone - my first post in a long long time on the forum.

So I was very interested in this method and decided to give it a go - I have identified 5 potential niches to focus on - one of which I have tasked my teenage daughter with promoting but that has so far not progressed so much! - I have myself (to begin with) focused on another of the niches...

So I opened this account 4 days ago... posted a few images with tags and followed a few people -maybe got like 5 follows on the first day - I then started using the repost app along with using canva to produce images of the required size and then posting a series of images using gramblr - which is a bit clunky but works ok - combined my own hashtags with popular hashtags as defined by the tagsforlikes app and the account now has c. 230 followers on it...pretty much been doubling day by day which is great.

I have been posting and reposting maybe 20 images per day which is a lot I know but I am getting a lot of likes on the images I am posting / reposting and my phone is showing a constant stream of likes pretty much all day and night - I have been spacing this out throughout the day with some reposting in the morning and evening and then posting my own images through the day.

I am hoping the number of followers continues to grow at the current rate although maybe I am being optimistic there but the good news is if it continues to double then by the end of the week I will be over 1k followers....I honestly dont know if the niche is big enough to get 100,000's of followers but some of the accounts I have seen in the same niche have over 40k followers so certainly there is potential for size....

Obviously cannot do any form of monetisation right now on the account but fingers crossed that will happen soon... Also just started instagress on the account on a very slow basis to see if this will help push the account

    Great method thank you
    • [ 1 ] Thanks

  • Great really!! It tells so much about the power of connecting and learning online via social media. The opportunities out there on the internet are numerously endless!!!!!!
  • Hi Mike, thanks for the inspiration. I'm curious to know if you do this full time now, ie. does it provide you enough income to live comfortably off of it?
    • [1] reply
    • Well I'm still making good money but I'm after riches so I reinvest in all kinds of Internet Marketing campaigns with mostly paid traffic trying to bank hard. But I can pay all my bills and haven't had job in a few years from Internet Marketing so I'm getting by on my IM income just not able to go out and buy sports cars and expensive stuff just yet. But this opportunity has steadily grown since I first discovered it and it doesn't seem to be slowing down and there are lots of more people doing it.

How many shoutsout do you do per day Mike? Still earning about 100-300 a day?
    • [1] reply
    • I usually do about 3-8 per day and rates vary as people may want the post to stay up longer. I now charge per half hour. Usually $20 - $30 per half hour post. Still earning $60 - $240 per day on average. Although I must admit I've been a little lazy gaining followers as I have some cash coming in so I just post content and paid posts have to step up my growing more as more followers means you can charge more per post per half hour.
  • Hey, if you are experienced with FL, please PM me. I have few questions about it. Thanks.
    • [1] reply
    • Haven't used it yet. Still on Instagress.
  • Hi Mike thanks for sharing. I never thought instagram would be that powerful tool for online business. What really is interesting is their technique and their somewhat long term strategy of building your audience then offer your product slowly rather than bombarding your audience with your product.
    • [1] reply
    • That's how companies are doing it. Build a massive audience and then set up an advertising platform. Individuals are doing this like I teach and is in this thread and Instagram themselves did it. They built up a massive audience and then set up an advertising platform(Instagram Ads are now available through your Facebook Ads account). If Instagram didn't set up an advertising platfom they would literally be leaving possibly billions on the table so its the normal course of businesses who have access to massive audiences. And with what I teach people and I are doing the same thing on a smaller scale. We have access to 50k - 3 million followers so they offer paid posts for people.

One simple thing to consider when deciding to use a niche account or Instagram Ads is Facebook owns Instagram and they have the same 20% rule of only allowing your image to have up to 20% of the image having text on it but with the niche accounts they don't restrict you with this so a niche account may be more helpful to someone then Instagram Ads.

I thought the global release of Instagram Ads may affect this opportunity I teach but so far it's still working fine and is in fact growing. I see lots of new accounts with 100k followers popping up all the time. So its working better today then when I started this and when I started instagram had under 300 million users and now they are at 400 million users so it's only growing.
  • Hi Mike, in your experience, how long does it take to get an account to 1 million? Is there a certain point (ie. 100k) where you can just make regular postings and the account will automatically grow without having to buy shout outs?
    • [1] reply
    • I don't know as I'm nowhere near a million with any of my accounts so far but they are constantly growing. Once you have 100k you will find lots of big accounts with 100k and up and you can do shoutout for shoutout with them to both mutually grow your accounts and this method is like adswaps for email list building and is free. Lately I've mostly been using Instagress to grow and shoutout for shoutout and have been trying to save my money by buying less shoutouts and using Instagress everyday.

    • [1] reply
    • Well I target the make money on Instagram niche with my WSO in my sig below and drive traffic to my website on autopilot using Instagress. My Instagram is my only product that I created so for other niches I use affiliate offers or CPA offers and recently came into some high quality brand new PLR which I will set up and try to earn from. I've made a few hundred with CPA but over like 6 months so not much just yet anyway.
  • hi mike, i just started to create my account on IG 2 month ago about luxury niche. Right now i have almost 4k followers. I was lazy this month so my follower is not growing up well, although on the first month i can get 2,5k followers. Since i ready your thread again, tha's boost my mood to grow up my followers

  • Is there a script/ query you use to find these followers who do shout outs? Or u manually checked?
    • [1] reply
    • I found them all manually. The insta traffic firestorm wso in my sig is a big list of these huge accounts that I have compiled ranging from 100k - 2 million followers. But I originally found them by just spending loads of time on Instagram and having one specific account that I use to follow these large accounts that offer shoutouts/promos and as they are all doing shoutouts themselves. I see them promoting more and more accounts that I then follow also so I can keep my eye on everyone and see what they are doing and promoting to get my own ideas.
  • Thanks for sharing.

  • Hi Mike, thank you very much for this great information and to share it for free with us. I really appreciate all the hard work you have put into it and your selfless sharing.

I have tried crowdfire but the scheduled post feature did not work.

Has anyone experience with an automated service that allows to post photos/videos, like, follow/unfollow and comment?

Has anyone experience with Massplaner or FollowAdder?

Thank you for your feedbacks and recommendations.

    Kind regards, Dee

    • You might want to look into Instamate which came out recently.
  • Yes I hear instamate has that feature. Haven't tried it myself.
    • [1] reply
    • Not sure about Instamate. I purchased the luxury edition and than you get spammed for upgrades. As far as I can see the luxury edition can't do anything apart letting you search and download. This you can do with free apps, too. Yes, you can schedule posts on Instamate but as far as I can see, there is no feature to like, follow/unfollow and comment automatically.

If I am wrong, someone who uses Instamate let me know, please.
      • [1] reply
  • Just tried the different features of instamate. It is useless. Search function claims to find the trendiest posts. However, if you search with hashtags majority of the results are with only few likes. The worst part are the videos. It downloads only the cover picture and same for the re-post. That means instead of a video, you posted a photo. Furthermore, you cannot alter the text and hasthtags with the repost function. It automatically copies the same from the original post.

Programme is a waste of money!

  • Furthermore, the founder/developer/seller Luke Maguire of instamate gives bonus information where he has two Instagram showcases.

    Instagram Showcase 1) @instamotivated
Luke started to post on the account in July 2013! He said in his video that he will use all his tools and make the account to go viral! He got at a time a little bit over 5.000 followers and has currently 2.993 (14th July 2016).

    Instagram Showcase 2) @luxury_hunting
Luke posted first pic on 13th August 2014. Followers 5.007 (14th March 2016)

I have grown an account for a client from zero to over 10k real followers in 9 weeks without using any of his tools or automated programs and no paid shoutouts/promos!
    • [1] reply
    • I am gaining approx. 5000 followers per Instagram account per month that I have running in Instagress on autopilot. I just have to check to see if I'm near the max of following 7500 accounts and then I just switch Instagress to unfollow for a while.
  • Hei Mikey

So it has been a huge change in the game since IG started doing its own ads. Is it already decreasing your profits and number of clients? Do you see a trend changing there or do you think that brands will still use us in the future, because we only take a small initial investment?

What is the average CPM you are charging? I have heard that big guys charge about 5-9 dollars CPM per post. Well, that is just lucrative income right there. :O

You charge per hour etc. What do you mean hour? Do you hold their account name tagged in a photo and on your profile for an hour in that example?

Thank you so much for your reply in advance!!
    • [1] reply
    • Actually I haven't figured it out with CPM. I just charge around $25-$50 per half hour for 100k plus account. The regular niche accounts are earning like this also but the individual people known as Influencers can earn 15k for a post of a popular brand. I don't think this opportunity is going away anytime soon and its just growing as evident by sites that have sprung up to help bridge the gap between account holders and brands or businesses. Here are the top 2 of these sites:

      igshoutouts.com
      buysellshoutouts.com

What I mean by per hour is when I post the pic it gets most of its exposure to my followers in the photo feed and eventually scrolls off the bottom but it is still in the account and can be seen by anyone who visits the account page but most exposure is when the pic or video is first posted and it goes to the top of the feed. So after agreed upon time I remove their ad or post from my account so as not to clutter up my niche account with tons of old ads. You can also charge more for reposts so as to put their ad back to the top of the feed for more exposure as even though the person may have 100k followers of course not everyone of them is going to see the ad as people go on instagram whenever they want to and don't stay on their all day so it's actually a somewhat small percentage of followers who actually see the ad. But that doesn't stop you from getting paid.

I'm very curious how fast these improvements (sometimes very simple things like the ability to set the map you're downloading your files to or having a library with often used photos or text in the Image Editor) will be implemented.

All in all: Good stuff Luke!

    • I may give it a try for the scheduled posts feature. Right now I do my posting manually which is ok but since Facebook owns Instagram and Facebook has scheduled posts I'm hoping they bring scheduled posts to Instagram as I think they realize business owners need some automation so they can get back to running their businesses instead of being on social media sites all day. So I'm hoping they bring this feature to Instagram soon.

    BIG thumbs up!!

  • Great idea!

I might try this myself, but there are two things I'd be cautious about..

    1. to build a good amount of followers, the content must provide high-value for them.. otherwise they'll just leave (I'd rather follow 10 people with really good content than 100 people with mediocre content. The more people you follow, the less content you see from individual people)
    2. you have to invest quite a lot upfront to build your following first, with no real guarantee that you'll make it back - but that's how every business work I guess.
    • [1] reply
    • 1-Yes always provide value and try to get engagement from your followers.

2-My first 100k account took like a year to grow before I found Instagress. So growing can take time but this opportunity has only grown and I don't see it going away anytime soon. And yes there is always risk in business.
  • Hi Mikey, I think the site I created can be of use to you. Please let me know what you think of https://shoutoutpost.com/. It's a free SFS (shoutout for shoutout) community for Instagram and Twitter (Facebook coming soon).

  • All links are on posts and comments are not clickable. The only way, a clickable link can be inserted into a IG profile.

There are many different products to sell. Each product has one image to post on IG. But each link be inserted into a post, it will be unclickable link. Most visitors are lazy to copy and paste the unclickable link manually, because most they are using touchscreen smartphone to access the Instagram.

Do you have any idea about this?
    • [2] replies
    • There are two ways around this.

First is to use simple call to action, by telling them "The link is in my bio". Most of ig users will really understand this.

Second way (I don't know how it would work out) is to create another account only for your website you are promoting, and name it the link or name of the website. Add the website link to that account and make account private for people to focus to the link after visiting the profile. Later you can use this account as your link. For example: "You can buy my products @johnstore.com".
They will be able to easily click it and after getting on profile, they will see the clickable link on this account bio, for example: "Here -> JohnStore.com"
      • [ 2 ] Thanks
    • Right. URLs are not clickable in the caption or comments on Instagram. So the way around this is to set up an account to put your websites link in the bio which will be clickable and then in the caption or comments you would put the account name with the @ symbol in front of it which is clickable in the caption - comments area. So you would tell people to go to your account and click the link in the bio like simonz mentioned. This is the simple work around everyone uses. The other option is to have your link in the comments as it would be non clickable so for this to work your URL would have to be very, very short and easy to remember or no one will try to go to it. I have a super super short URL that is very easy to remember for just this but prefer clickable links so I mostly use the first option which will require you to set up possibly a bunch of accounts to try different products or one you can keep using over and over but if you still have several campaigns out there then you will want several accounts. There are some new fiverr sellers that will set up Instagram accounts for you if instagram won't let you set up any more.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Shoutout are not as effective anymore since the recent IG update, true it's way better than any other social network but it's just not worth the money on the shoutout. However thats being said some shoutout might be worth the money for the price, always go for shoutout with accounts at least of 10% of their followers, if they're above 100k go for engage at 5-8%
    • [1] reply
    • What recent IG update? The shoutout business just keeps growing and loads of people are still earning including me. Once you get to 50k-100k or more it's really easy money the trick is growing the account first but you can get shoutout business with just 25k followers and you can use sites like these two popular ones that help you get business:

      igshoutouts.com
      buysellshoutouts.com

Those sites sprung up because this opportunity just keeps growing. Its basically the Advertising business which we all know is very lucrative. And you as the advertising platform(on an individual account basis) makes money whether they get conversions, sales, sign ups or not. Of course you want the people who advertise with you to do well with their campaigns because that will keep them coming back and buying more shoutouts/promos but still you are getting paid no matter what their results.
      • [1] reply
  • What is your instagram account all about? Theme? Subject Aside from liking, do you have a lot of people commenting on your photos? Have you tried selling products on your instagram account? What is the likelihood that a non-celebrity (not into semi-nudity or fitness) will have hundreds of thousands of followers?
    • [1] reply
    • I have 2 huge instagram accounts now one is funny memes and the other is in the fitness niche. I usually average 1k-4k likes on my funny memes pics each post. People comment ofeten because I ask them to and I also say tag your friends in the comments who you think would like this pic. That helps a lot, just asking for a comment or like.

There are hundreds of non-celebrities doing this on Instagram and nowadays they have accounts ranging from 100k-4million followers. I would say that a celebrity gets more money for a sponsored post than a non-celeb. I have heard of celebs getting 5 figures for a simple post of a product. While with my method the average person would get anywhere from $30-$500 per post depending on factors like followers size and engagement. So hundreds of non celebs have accounts with 100k - 4 million followers.
  • Thanks Mike
  • Hey I like your post!

How much are you paying for shoutouts to people though? What's your follower-price-following ratio when you buy those?

I mean how many followers does the selling account have, How much do you pay and how many followers do you expect to get?

I haven't bought any shoutouts so I have no idea. I've onyl traded shoutouts with people

    Thanks,

    MeelisM
    • [1] reply
    • Hey Meelis,
I usually buy shoutouts from accounts ranging from 100k followers to 500k. The prices vary widely. But on average it costs me about $20-$60 for a shoutouts that can last from 60 minutes to 4 hours before they take the post down. I can get anywhere from 20 followers to a couple hundred sometimes when I get lucky.

But the price of shoutouts has gone up steadily so trying to buy shoutouts to get yourself a 100k following can get costly lately. I have been using Instagress to get followers and have been adding about 5000 followers to each of my Instagram accounts per month for just $9.99 per month per Instagram account. I have a video that shows how I use Instagress here:

      http://www.warriorforum.com/social-m...nstagress.html

Then I do shoutout for shoutout with other account holders which is free. Trying to find accounts with your size following can take a bit of searching on Instagram. Now there is a site that can help you find partners which is here - shoutoutpost.com

If you go to these two sites you can see just how the prices wary widely for a shoutout:
      igshoutouts.com
      buysellshoutouts.com

Also my Upsell on my Instagram WSO is a huge list of accounts with 100k followers all the way up to 2 million followers if you were to email or Kik(instant messaging app) them all and ask for their shoutout rates you'll also see that the prices vary widely so you can find some great deals still for low cost traffic or for getting followers. Also there are cheap shoutouts on fiverr you can try.

  • wow! this is great. i always thought of Instagram not that useful as the other social networking websites for making money and i always thought that there must be a way around this as well. thanks to you now i have that figured out (after you have so clearly stated it all for us )
and this really is clever and since Instagram is rather new as compared to others there must not be many people who would know about this, which itself is great. what i do not get here is that if you figured this on your own then why would you tell this to everyone and not just silently keep earning alone??
    • [1] reply
    • That's simple. I simply discovered what loads of other people were doing on Instagram. I didn't create or invent this opportunity I simply saw hundreds of people already doing it on Instagram. I also wanted to finally create my own WSO so I figured if I didn't hurry up and create a WSO on this then someone else will. But there are hundreds of people doing this on Instagram now.

It's basically the advertising business, which can be very lucrative, on a smaller scale which is the scale of your following size. If you have access to 100k people or more then advertisers may want to advertise with you to your following.

    • This method seems to be the most popular method for making money on Instagram which is selling shoutouts. You can also try affiliate marketing with your own account or by paying for a shoutout which is paying for traffic that you can send to your offers. Don't forget you can't have an active link in the caption under your I=image on Instagram so you can ask the account owner if they can put your short link in their accounts BIO to go with your post so you can easily get people to your offers or you can create your own Instagram account for your offers and put your own link in your own bio and in the caption of a shoutout you buy from someone else either direct them to that accounts bio to click your link or put your Instagram account in the caption which will be active if you add the @ symbol in front of it. Then they can easily get to your account and then click your link in your BIO.
  • Nice interesting thread. I would like to know if you have tried promoting affiliate products or your own products to the instagram followers? If yes, did you get good conversions?

I would also like to know if I buy shoutouts on Instagram, can I direct the traffic to my squeeze page for building an email list or direct the traffic to purchase affiliate products instead of trying to get followers for my Instagram account?
    • [1] reply
    • I tried a bunch of things and only got a few conversions with direct affiliate links to clickbank products in various niches but have better results sending people to my squeeze page and then selling them. I see a bunch of people selling tee shirts on Instagram. I tried a few campaigns but didn't sell any a while back. Learned a lot since so may try teespring again soon.

So yes you can build email lists on Instagram and you'll get followers at the same time if you automate things to constantly drive traffic to your squeeze page. For that I use Instagress. Here is a video I just made on the settings I use to get 5000 followers added to my account per month:

      http://www.warriorforum.com/social-m...nstagress.html

and this also drives traffic to your link in your Instagram accounts bio. Then when I get a big following I advertise to them by posting a pic with text on it to sign up from the link in my bio to get your followers signed up to your email list.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Great post-Mickey,

I hadn't given IG the attention it so obviously deserves from this post. I think CB ran a webinar/video on this method for traffic generation also and a lot of big players are involved in this now.

    • IG is great now. When I first got on there a couple of years ago it was all young people. Teens everywhere and tweens now there are loads of people it seems from every age group and with Instagram just hitting 500 million users they just keep growing.

There are a lot of people cashing in on the shoutout business and it has grown steadily. The Instagram CEO said on Bloomberg recently that that are aware of the Influencers and are ok with it but they may require them to post something like hashtag ad or #ad #sponsoredpost or something similiar with the Influencers paid posts. So this opportunity isn't going away and can be run anywhere as it can mostly be done on a smartphone and once everything is set up it can be run by smartphone wherever you are.
  • This is very interesting! Thank you!!!

    • You're welcome. Just to let everyone know that now on January 2017 this method still works great and is actually working better than when I launched the course as then Instagram has 250 Million users and now it has 500 Million users so this opportunity has only grown. So if after reading this thread anyone has any questions about the shoutout business on Instagram just post below and I'll respond pretty quickly.

    • Yes for sure. If your making the videos or editing them then be sure to tag them by putting your Instagram account name in the videos somewhere like lower right or left. So when people share your video you'll be sure to get credit to yourself so people know where the content came from and then can follow your account.

    • Hi Mikey, I really appreciate the video you made in the other thread and the wealth of information you've given in this thread so a massive thankyou first off!

Secondly, wanted to ask a few questions! I've used instagress successfully for a single insta account, plus used hootsuite for insta , twitter, facebook and google all for one small business I had. Having had this experience I realised insta is such a huge market and growing so fast and it seems some businesses don't see it, as it's mainly used by individuals.

I saw topic accounts like what you do, and it seems these are going to be more popular, used more like pinterest may be but with marketing/sales potential.

I was thinking of setting up a few related accounts and before I do, wanted to run a few things by you to see what the most streamlined way of doing this would be. For ease i've numbered, thanks in advance for any and all help!

1- Assuming I wanted 10 accounts and used instagress to automate liking/following e.t.c, is it fairly easy and safe to use instagress for many accounts? Instagress was a great tool for one.

2 - On posting content, do you schedule a time each day/week to put out all of your content, or schedule say 3 times a day to post? There are key times when insta is busier, and ideally I'd like to use them for all accounts but make it a fast workflow, what are your strategies?

3 - Is it possible to use another tool as well as instagress for scheduling, hootsuite had an autoschedule based on what it's data showed was the most popular time.

4 - Where do you get your pics and content from, do you repost, and do you tag the original person if you repost? Looks like some accounts you may, some you don't.

5 - In terms of the simplest, fastest way to post content, what do you do? Is it a folder on your phone built up and then emptied over a week? Is it a scroll through a related tumblr from content and reposting as you see?

Essentially I'm looking for a safe, fast, and manageable way to manage say 10 accounts in fashion/fitness/lifestyle. Ideally so I can have 3-5 posts a day scheduled with intagress doing most of the work, only have to maybe find content and schedule once or twice a week, without having to have access to a phone or multiple phones to post to insta using push notifications. IS any of this possible?
      • [1] reply
  • Amazing And Interesting. I have never thought of Instagram as a source of income. Now i have got some ideas And going to do some research! Thanks for sharing this strategy Mike.

  • Hi MikeyMan,

So, if I understand correctly, the first step is to find a niche and repost images, then buy shoutouts from sites like Shoutcart, and I'll get tons of followers in a very short time? What if it's a very new account and I only have 5 followers or so? Will that work too?

    Thanks!
    • [1] reply
    • That's the expensive route. It's much cheaper to use Instagress to grow to 10k and beyond but once you hit 10k followers you can do shoutout for shoutout with other account holders which is free and you can either use Instagrams search to find accounts with a similar size. You can also use this site to help find people to swap shoutouts with - shoutoutpost.com

If you only have five followers I would do some manual following until you get 200-500 followers approx.
  • Hey Mike,

Cool thread. What is or what are the copy examples of the shoutouts?

For example, I'd like to buy a shoutout for my free+shipping offer, or just to boost my followers. What exact copy I should send to the shoutouter so he could write it below my pic I send him?
  • Would you think a instagram account based on a certain breed of dogs is profitable??? But then who would buy shout outs from it?
    • [1] reply
    • It can be for sure. The people who would advertise with you can be other marketers promoting dog related stuff like dog training courses and so on. You can promote stuff yourself like stuff from amazon. You can get a dog training course and put the link to it in your bio. You can contact pet websites and offer them shoutouts to promote their sites so they can get traffic.

  • "Basically you need a massive following and you can pay for it and build up your following quickly."

A large targeting following is the key to profits indeed, then knowing how to market to them effectively. My favorite method (aside from using good content) is using bulk accounts and mass following the right people, you just have to do it slow enough that your accs don't get banned.

    Good share

The Instagram forced the Instagress to closed their web based service.

Do you know about this news?

    Any alternative service?
    • [1] reply
    • Yes there are a bunch of alternatives. I just liked Instagress so got used to using them but all hope is certainly not lost as you can use any of the other awesome automation tools out there. Here are some top ones to try:

      Automation tools:
      1) Instaeasy.com - By fellow marketer Luke Maguire
      2) Mass Planner
      3) Archie.co
      4) TurboGram
      5) Instalex.pro

I am really liking InstaEasy.com as they seem to have great features and they keep adding more so I am switching to InstaEasy. I updated my InstaDomination eBook with this so if you are a customer of mine you can log into your warrior plus account and click your username in the upper right and choose purchase history and re-download the updated version of my eBook which reflects the new alternatives to Instagress. The update is the last chapter in the eBook. Most of my eBook teaches how to do things manually I added automation to the end of the eBook once I started using it but you don't need automation if you don't want to so the eBook is still relevant with the new updates for Instagress alternatives that work and are very popular with users.

    • Until the dust settles on this whole thing I am just going to go back to doing things the way my ebook teaches which is to do things manually. I was not a fan of automation at first but Instagress impressed me and helped me gain loads of followers. I only added the last chapter on automation later on after it launched so for now I'm just going to do things manually on Instagram. I did it for years so I can get used to it easily again.
