Trying to Get Traffic to My Survey

So I setup a facebook ad for clicks to my survey, and targeted 23 years old +, in the US, with interests in marketing/advertising to get clicks to my survey. I've only gotten 1 response to it so far, $30 later. Can anyone help me figure out what the best way to get responses would be? In the ad I already talk about how there's a drawing for a $50 gift card to Amazon for a randomly selected participant, but maybe that model is not enticing enough?

I checked Fiver, but no one seems to offer promoting an ad to fellow marketers. And I can't post it to the challenge and contests section of this forum because I don't have enough posts. Is there anything else I can get creative with to get responses? It's a 15 question survey and I need about 100 responses from online marketers. The link is in my sig(you don't have to click it, I am not trying to promote it here, just looking for HOW to promote something like this).

    My call to action is:

"Email marketers + small biz owners: Take our survey for a shot at a $50 Amazon gift card"

then a nice image representing email

then an explanation that says it will only take 5 minutes of their time.

You need giveaway promotion then problem solved. Your prize would get many entries. Forget facebook ads thats not who you want to target you want to target people who enter giveaways as they would happily enter for a chance to win a $50 Amazon GC.

I would post on giveaway sites but if you really want it to do well better present it on as many giveaway/sweeps sites as possible.

Keep in mind people dont like long surveys and questions. Where their answer has to be long.

I appreciate that, however I am trying to target people like the people in this forum, email or online marketers. Most of the people who love giveaways are not going to be able to provide me with the insight I need for my research.

Do you think that call to action would work for online marketers? I would think they are too savvy to fall for that, I know I would look over it in a flash if that was all I saw.

There're lot of contest and survey groups on Facebook. It's free to post to those groups and you could get better results if it's done right.

I agree. You should invest in your ad's design and make it more appealing to your target audience. But of course, you have to work by the rule of 20% text by Facebook. I currently use Banner Machine in creating my ads. I run a cupcake shop online and like you, Facebook is my most active social media page.

We would say that traffic from facebook does not produce a lot of conversions.
The reasons are simple, most user use the facebook app - every kind of advertising is almost invisible. Everybody is trying to advertise something on facebook. People do not search on facebook for "a product / or service" like on a search engine.
We would recommend a campaign where you buy "traffic" directly. Also known as "redirects".
