What's the harm? Thanks button

Frustrating! I'm out of thanks AGAIN.

Really, what exactly is the harm in not limiting them? You want community participation? You have that silly, annoying side bar of social tabs yet you limit the thanks button?

There has to be a reason. I'd like an explanation to the lame smilies too if you don't mind. I know I'll never get one, but for a forum that seems set on social activity, one would think that making it as "fun" and "social" as it can be would be, I don't know, beneficial?

    I think the limit has been changed. I never used to run out of thanks and now I seem to out of them more times than not.

    I agree - what is the point in limiting them?

    Darn it again! I ran out of thanks last night and here it is a new day and I don't have a thanks button!

      We haven't made any changed with the "Thanks" button. I'll take a look at the settings and see how it's set up. Do you know how many times you use it before you run out?

        Thank you for getting back to me Alaister! I am sorry, I have no idea how many times I thanked someone, but I am positive it wasn't more than ten, which is the number I thought we had per day.

        Just a thought, but along with the other bazillion suggestions you're dealing with, is it possible to just take the limit off of the thanks button? I see where it could be "gamed", so I do understand the limit. I really don't know the solution, but it is frustrating to run out.

        Have you thoughts on this? Thanks again for getting back!
