Please fix the "View First Unread" button

The "View First Unread" button is NOT working. Please fix this - it's a pain in the a$$ without it.

The search function could also use an overhaul. It's also a pain in the a$$.

    Why would you completely remove the "View First Unread" button??? The functionality of this forum has been declining for some time now. Removing that button just made it more difficult to navigate.

    Soon time to pack my bags.

      I still see the 'View First Unread' link but it doesn't work. Nothing happens when I click on it.

      This is a major pain in the butt! I use this all the time so please get this fixed.

      I used to come here almost every day to see what is happening and would spend a fair bit of time here but with the recent glitches I am here less and less and I am sure I'm not the only one.

        Rhonda, that's not the same as the first unread "button." The "button" used to be on each thread in the thread listings. You could just click it from any forum's index and go straight to the first unread post. To get to the "link" you have to open the thread first. If the thread has multiple pages you have to wait for two pages to load to get to the first new post instead of just one page to load. It's a slower, less convenient process.

        The "first unread post" link doesn't seem to work all the time. It's often taken me past posts I have not read that were not there the last time I was in the thread.

          Thanks for the clarification Dennis!

          I do remember that button now and wish it was still there as well. Since the button went away I have been using the link and it had been mostly working for me but now is dead.

      Sorry for the lack of response about this issue. We're looking to add this back. I know it's frustrating when something like this get's removed completely.

        We've fixed this and added the "View First Unread" link. There is an arrowing pointing downward which when clicked will take you to the first unread post.
