Do We Need A Forum To Share Methods?

Here's the thing...

I enjoy sharing methods to make money.

It beats - hands down - talking about whether or not Host Gator is any good, whether or not Google traffic trumps Facebook traffic, or how to install Wordpress. For me, at least. Methods, to me, are fun. And not only is sharing them fun, but sharing them helps folks, too.

Moreover...

I enjoy learning new methods to make money.

Some people collect stamps. Me, it's methods. And I'm not one of those guys who claims to know it all. I love education. Before I got into IM, around 2 decades ago now, I practically had to be pried away from university with a crowbar. And nothing has changed.

Which leads me onto my question...

Do we need a separate forum for sharing methods?

Aside from the educational advantages - for all of us, not just for newcomers - there's another one, and it's one I believe will help everyone.

Let's say you have a WSO about creating an empire of Amazon authority sites. You earn, say, $5K a month and you're sharing your entire blueprint in the form of a WSO; which, more than likely, you link to via your signature.

What if you post a method in the method forum? What if you post a method that deals with a small part of your blueprint? Can it hurt anyone? Nope. In fact, there are nothing but advantages:

1. You perhaps help people make money.
2. You perhaps earn money yourself via your signature.
3. Warrior Forum has more useful content and, thus, more traffic.

It's win-win. Well . . . win-win-win, to be precise.

You share a method. People can use that method and never click your signature, or they can use that method and click your signature and perhaps learn more.

Will it hurt the War Room? I don't think so. Better methods can always be shared in the War Room. If anything, it may help War Room memberships.

Thoughts?

    Appreciate your knowledge, Nice words!

I also love to share my methods and knowledge with peoples. Also I think gurus make money by sharing methods with others.

You mean like the War Room where people post entire no-holds barred methods and free ebooks and tools to support those methods?

It won't hurt the War Room. It is the War Room.

I have 3 reasons for being in disagreement:

      1. The War Room is not a specific forum for sharing methods. All kinds of things are shared: Wordpress themes, PSD files, memberships.

      2. The War Room is a paid area. A lot of members on Warrior Forum are dubious about whether or not working online is for them, whether or not it actually works or if it's just a big con. This means a big percentage of people are disinclined to join the War Room. A forum for methods will help these people and may induce them to learn better methods in the War Room.

      3. The War Room is certainly not a place where no-holds barred methods are published. I'm not even sure if that accounts for 3% of them. The majority of them are outdated, untested, or simply there to generate income or new subscribers for the folks posting the methods. Due to it not being public, I feel it comes under less scrutiny from the WF masses, who would perhaps help to take out the trash, as it were.

That's because most use the War Room as a way to get people into their funnel and on their list. Not everyone makes you leave the forum and download an ebook.

I'm talking about discussion threads like this:

        http://www.warriorforum.com/war-room...-friendly.html

Well that's what the Main Marketing Forum is for. Just because people use it for spamming and asking useless unanswerable questions, doesn't mean someone can't start a thread that is actually useful.

But this again comes down on the Warrior Forum. They seem to delete threads that give real actionable information in the Main Discussion forum.

Again, I think that is on the participants and giving a separate "Methods Forum" would not suddenly improve the participation or the content.

Have you visited any of the new sub-forums? Most are crap with few participants. Not a problem another forum would solve.

As above, I point to Jarret's thread as an example of "in thread" methods and discussions in the War Room as opposed to an ebook (full of affiliate links and links to opt-in).

Incidentally, Jarret originally posted his thread in the Main Discussion forum but the admins moved it to the War Room. The information was "too valuable" to keep in the free areas.

Either that or WF didn't want a really valuable discussion to take place outside the controlled paid forums.

Although, Jarret's thread has been consistently on the front page of the War Room since he posted it. If it was left in the Main Forum it probably would have disappeared by now.

I just think with all the forums, sub-forums and War Room that adding another forum is not the solution.

You mean a pre-sell self promotional post that say

... for more information click on my link in signature.
Those are a dime a dozen and are routinely reported and deleted.

A sort of free War Room. Nice idea but most people would probably spam the hell out of it with untested methods.

A couple problems I see with this approach:

    1. There are too many subforums already. This dilutes the main forum where we are supposed to talk about making money (in the description of the main forum).

However we can't talk about email marketing, copywriting, SEO, PPC, increasing conversions, social media marketing, mobile marketing, or offline marketing where we are supposed to talk about making money.

What's left are discussions along the lines of "which host is better than HostGator| and "how to get a Paypal account verified" and "did you see the new Clickbank feature?"

Adding this methods forum, where we can't discuss anything in any of the other subforums will just confuse things even more.

    2. You may know what you are talking about but many will be sharing their methods they copied and pasted from somewhere else or posting questionable content or preselling their WSO or whatever. I don't think the quality will be as high as you think it would be but I could be wrong.
