Only one notification needed for each new post

SUGGESTIONS

I am subscribed to a thread, and when this post was published, I started getting email notification of the new post roughly every 30 seconds for the past 50 minutes. This seems a bit excessive; one email should be sufficient. Please revert to the earlier functionality. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply, but I don't think you understand.

I am satisfied with my current notification settings.

Your site suddenly broke badly, as of about an hour ago.

I have now received 152 copies of the exact same notification email for the post mentioned above.

I have now received 9 copies of the notification email for the reply that you just wrote me (above) six minutes ago.

I'm sure if you review your mail queue, you will notice that your outbound volume has increased sharply in the last hour.

Please fix this.

Yes this is happening to me too. I'm subscribed to a bunch of threads and so getting hundreds of notifications.

  Me too ... I have received so many WF notifications in my inbox and spam folder as I subscribed to a few threads. I noticed that it is today that I received many of such repeated notifications.
  
  Before today, the Warrior Forum Subscribed Thread notifications are working fine.

I have had over 100 email notifications today regaarding 1 single private message on Warrior Forum.
What is wrong with the system as I went in and changed my settings so not to receive any futher emails.

We had an issue with our emailing system which was causing multiples of some emails sending. We've since addressed the root cause as well as put in place a number of measures to help us identify and prevent this happening again.
