Why is Forum View Missing On Mobile?!? - Almost Impossible to Navigate Forums [Resolved]

So why is forum view missing on mobile?

You have made it almost impossible to navigate the forums on mobile when not logged in (at least for me). I tried two browsers and the forum view is missing on both.

Someone may want to explain how exactly we are supposed to navigate the different forum sections like this.

Again, I think you guys are killing traffic with this crazy implementation of the feed. Such a huge forum, and so little to see with the interface like this. Could you have made it any harder to jump around the sub-forums?

And FTR ---> trying to kill the feed view to navigate the forum properly on mobile becomes almost impossible at times.

Please check and fix.

Thanks

Well it was impossible to use the mobile site earlier. Had to give up.
Links weren't live and the whole thing locked up.
    Total waste of time.

Yeah, trying to browse the site on mobile has become almost impossible for me. I hate to say it, but they have hosed the mobile version up very badly, to the serious detriment of the forum, it's visitors, it's members, and it's vendors.

I think killing the feed completely might be a good idea at this point. It seems to cause more problems than anything else.

I get that it has some cool functionality, but it also is probably chasing away tons of people.

Mike I have to agree with you there Killing the feed and going back to basics is the best way forward

The mobile version of the feed needs to be fixed for sure. If they can't get it functional by this time, it might be time to scrap the mobile feed project until they know they have it right.

I don't know who would make the mobile feed page live without links to the sub-forums, forum view, etc. It's simply unfathomable to me.

You know exactly who would (cough, cough) WF (cough, cough).

I agree though. It seems that there is no testing going on here for someone not to notice something like that. That is pretty freaking basic.

I very rarely use the mobile version, I switch to the desktop version,
but even that's messed up now.

When on my smartphone I change settings to Desktop version for browsing. Yet, it doesn't help a lot, trying to press the right buttons while chasing the WF desktop version on a small screen. Posted a thread that WF should develop a mobile app, but not a single warrior who would support this idea. Very frustrating. Can take my laptop with me everywhere I go. Would like to use my two smartphones when I'm out. P.S. I checked the "Test" error. It seems it's fixed now. I guess. So, WF takes care of things when you press the right button. Cheers!

At this point it's basically impossible browse the forum on many mobile devises. No forum view, no links to the forum sections etc. etc. As has been mentioned (and threads posted about it) forcing yourself to view the desktop version does not work either as bugs cause you to be redirected back to the mobile feed view which is all jacked up.

I posted this video on another thread......it's the same thing happens a bunch on mobile when trying to force the desktop version.

Hey tech team and Dan, what's the story here? This needs fixed asap unless you want to lose even more traffic and participants.

On a Galaxy S7, I've just given up trying to view the forum on a phone. I have the same issues mentioned above. Plus, if I wish to revisit a thread, then I 1) have to hope that the thread is still on the page somewhere and 2) go through a ton of clicks to see the latest posts for longer threads.

Yeah, it's just nuts. I documented similar mobile navigation problems here...
      http://www.warriorforum.com/suggesti...ffic-away.html

...and the 10 posts at a time thing is long and slow, no doubt.

I don't understand how WF has not added the forum view link back to the interface...like the moment they saw this thread.

Maybe a tech or Dan could chime in?

Looking into it? Why not at least stick it up there temporarily? All we need is the one link back on the page so we can actually browse the forum sections.

Like you have on desktop view.

If you visit this place on mobile view one may think WF sold out and the forum has been replaced some 20 post blog or something.

I would think eliminating navigational features and traffic to this extent on a major forum would increase the urgency to at least put a temporary forum link back up on mobile view. Maybe not though.

    Cheers

    We are handling this internally.

It’s not going to be an overnight fix but we have started taking action to deal with this problem.

This is no excuse for continuing personal attacks on members and derailing conversations.

When I tap on my name on mobile, it brings up links to all of the forums.

      HI Shay,

Yeah, I can tap my profile icon when I am logged in and get to the topic list. The problem is, readers that are not logged in members don't have the option to click on their profile icon.

      Cheers
