Please Clarify About Self-Promotion

Some of us try our best to help out the mods by reporting things that violate the rules as you and the previous admin have requested.

However, it's to the point that no one knows what to report anymore.

For example, there is a rule against self-promotion. Yet there is also a rule saying that links are okay if the link goes somewhere not selling anything.

Let's look at two recent examples to show where the frustration comes in.

Post 1 is blatant self-promotion and in the past it would be reported and deleted. If the behavior continued the poster may get banned.

I have been doing business on Fiverr since 2011 and I know most of the suggestions given on this thread works. But you need to know more!

I have all and much more compiled into a very useful info ebook you'll find here (http://fiverr. some infoproductsalespage.com).
How is that different from post 2 which seems to be the new acceptable norm?

http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-strategy.html

It has a lot of outbound links to a site that sells stuff.

Why should the first one be reported and not the second? But more importantly, why are the mods deleting the first type but not the second type?

We are trying to help but it's impossible to help when there seems to be the real rules and the rules you live by and there is a conflict there.

Please clarify if you want us to continue to report. If not, that's fine too. It would be nice to let someone know though.

I don't think they know themselves Mark.
There are numerous things that are being let go now that were a big no no
in the past, even the recent past.
