[Closed] Delete Threads That Are Immediately Closed

When a thread is started and immediately closed down, can the moderators just delete them instead of posting a message about using the search function?

First of all, it just junks up the forum. Second of all, now when someone does use the search function there is a good chance that these threads which contain no answers or useful information will pop up in their search. Lastly, you are inviting spammers. These users could go back later and insert links in these posts and nobody would notice it to report it because the threads are dead.

Here are examples from the SEO forum today of what I am talking about.
