Please turn off the moderation of newly posted threads in the High Voltage Video Forum. It isn't needed. Members have paid to join and there aren't any spammers in the forum.

Thanks.

    Thanks.
And instead, turn it on in the off topic forum
where there are plenty of spammers.

Really no need to moderate all new threads anywhere for that matter. It's simple logic: If a member has 50+ thanks approve thread automatically. If a member has less than 50 thanks, send new thread to moderation.

I would agree if there were some live mods around.
But all the while they vanish for days at a time
        there is every need.
The off topic forum today is a perfect example why.

There is wisdom in that statement, and not just for that one subforum.

I wouldn't be as charitable. People shouldn't be allowed to participate in any subforum until their postcount is at least 50.

Would think those who own the forum would know that - but apparently not?

There's an old midwest saying "That's the most ham-handed thing I've seen for a while"...and this fits the bill.

They didn't even bother to tell me about the changes. For those reading that may not know, I'm the moderator of that forum. I log in one day and had to figure out what was going on. You'd think letting the moderator know they were making this change may have been a good idea.
