Not that I see it happening.... But is there a way to standardize how we insert videos? Its either just dropping the link, or it's using the URL function. I am sure there is some rhyme or reason probably being which sub forum you are on? Just a thought

Right now, WF only supports embedding videos from YouTube and Vimeo.

For YouTube, just use the URL function. For Vimeo:
    HTML Code:
    [vimeo]123456789[/vimeo]
The video ID should be on the URL.

    Thanks.

      Thanks for the answer...

I haven't narrowed down the exact instances, but in some cases the URL function works, and in others, doing that leaves a bunch of script in the post, and I go back and edit delete the script, and directly insert the URL right into the body of the post and it appears.

Ill try and keep track where it happens.

Look here: ( https://www.warriorforum.com/main-in...l#post11693834 ) this is what happens when using the blue globe URL thing on the main forum

I find it can be hit and miss, but here's what works for me (usually).

Copy the YouTube video's URL. Then in your post click on the "globe" insert link - BUT when you paste in the URL, delete the "s" from the https. This allows you to preview the post correctly. However, when you submit the post you might still see the actual code instead of the video. If so, hit "edit" and you'll notice there's no code in the post. So repaste the URL (without the "s") in the blank space and resubmit.

It's a nuisance, but that normally gets it done. Maybe Enzo has a better way.

ok so its not just me <wiping sweat from brow> The post I linked to, the one that is "working", I just copied the URL from my browser right into the post body, to tags no "insert URL" blue globe thingy.

I will for sure try the -s trick! Thanks!

Both video and image support on the forum has been lacking/hit and miss for years.
