How about some moderators please?

My WSO has been spammed by someone who's been there for hours happily posting his links 3 times.

One of my clients was nice enough to place an infraction on this individual hours ago. But no moderators.

Yet the spam is still there - 3 long posts with plenty of spam links.

03-26-2013, 10:18 AM was first post.

Would a moderator PLEASE delete that individual????

I reported this individual too, on a number of threads and ................ he's gone.

I suppose most of the mods are in different time zones from us, and they get onto it as soon as they can.

      Chrissie,

In the future, use the report post function, not infractions. Infractions are like giving the spammer a little tap on the wrist. Unless there are tons of them, nothing happens. When you report a post, it is called to the attention of the mods and when they see it, they'll deal with it.

If you don't report it to bring it to mod attention, it's highly unlikely they'll see it. Even after reporting, allow them some time to deal with things. I can only imagine how many reports they have to wade through every day, completely on a volunteer basis.

No - mods have repeatedly said not to do that - but you do have to use the "report" triangle and it seems that wasn't done initially. When it was done - the posts disappeared.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

I understand that for regular posts but for issues regarding paid posts I thought you were able to contact the help desk.

I think it depends on the issue. Someone spamming links isn't really an emergency issue - if anything, it just makes the spammer look like a bigger idiot. And with only one person manning the Help Desk, you could wait longer than if you just reported the post.
