Why isn't there a free Kindle sub-forum?

I know there's the Warrior Book Club, and that's great. But it's only a small part of the Kindle world. I mean, it seems it's more like a WSO.

Is there a reason there isn't a sub-forum for Kindle that would be free to ALL users of WF? There are subs for drop-shipping, offline stuff, ad networks, social media, articles, etc. Kindle is the only one with only a paid option. It would seem natural that there should be a free Kindle forum too. There's enough demand for it.

I understand if you're keeping the only Kindle discussion area paid because someone, somewhere is making good money off of it.

But that seems a bit disingenuous to the overall goals of WF (share knowledge with each other, open discussions about techniques and tactics and trends, etc).

    That's too bad there's not one here. I'm in several writer groups and forums and even on email lists that deal with Kindle marketing and the information is great. Then again, I'm mostly a fiction writer, so that might make a difference to what you are looking for. Still if you want Kindle marketing information start with the KDP community, there's one guy that's always willing to help and he has a thread.

    Yea, I hang out on the KDP community too. I just feel like this forum would benefit from a Kindle sub-forum. There are a lot of us interested in Kindle here (maybe that's why they made the Kindle forum pay only). Sad.
