Dump the Make Money Section

Just looked through the "make money" section for the first time in a while - and all I found were sales pages - and thinly disguised promotions for products and ebooks.

If people want to advertise - there are classified ad section here they can PAY to use. The whole section has become a dump site recently.

    Agreed!

    Speaking of free advertising, the "backlinks" section is full of companies shilling dubious and even fraudulent backlink services without needing to pay for ads.

    Meanwhile, Warriors who offer genuine, useful products and services are paying good money to advertise in the forum.

    The Make Money and Backlinks sections are relics of a more innocent time, but they have devolved into something that in no way resembles their original purpose.

    What is the Job of the Moderators on WF if not to clean up the junk etc.

      All members are mods. This place works best when members participate in keeping it clean. Of necessity, the supermods, the folks with the power to delete posts and threads, count on the members to report things that shouldn't be there. It starts with you and me. How many spammers and inappropriate posts have you reported lately?

      The "official" mods are volunteers. They don't have time to read every eBook and every post in every thread that gets posted. They have their own businesses to run, too.

      I took a look at that section. All it needs is more members reporting threads that shouldn't be there instead of parroting "nice share" on every thread.

    I disagree. The make money section is the only section where people can share e-books for free. Yes there's the War Room but not all members have access to it.
