$2k Per Month -- Neil Patel + Dan Kennedy Style Marketer Needed
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

We're a 5-person whiteboard video company located in Chesterfield, VA. And we need some help with marketing pronto.

Two important things you need to know:

- This job is 100% open to remote work. You can telecommute from anywhere in the world.
- You'll get paid $2,000 per month for part-time marketing work.
- Most importantly, you can go from being an expert blog-reader who is having a tough time getting traction to somebody with a real-world track record.

When You Walk In Today You'll Work On 3 Things:

#1 - Case studiesss!

We need to split test our videos against some of the alternatives (powerpoint, moving text, etc) and prove to clients they're worth the money. You'd work with our artist and editor to get these produced and then run a split test on YouTube and Facebook. This would be your first order of business.
- GOAL: Get us some helpful case studies in the next 30 days
- Your budget would be $5k
- First you'd get the videos produced
- Then run the split test
- Write them into whitepapers
- Have a Fiverr contractor format the whitepaper and make it look great!

#2 High-class cold email (a la Bryan Harris' Santa Claus Formula)

Here we're going to be doing some hyper-targeted cold email. Essentially wowing our prospects with our video chops before they spend a dime with us! The process would look something like this:
1) Talk to our sales manager and decide on best targets in medical markets
2) Make a budget for each cold contact (e.g. how much the video will cost to produce and how much their
---At $100 per video we need 1 in 15 to convert to a sale to hit our $1,500 per client metric
---At $200 per video we need 1 in 7.5
---At $50 we need 1 in 30
If we get this dialed in we can raise the amount we spend on a video
3) Make list of 10 companies, find one of their top products, then a press release, and turn that press release into a script for that product. IMPORTANT: You'd write the script.
4) Get it produced with our dedicated case study artist and editor (you don't have to do any of that stuff but just work with the artist and editor to get it done).

#3 Guerilla positioning -- with a side of recurring revenue

We'll be offering free videos to help us get better positioned with major blogs and magazines AND after the first one, offer a $3k-$5k per month video production deal

To make this work your process would be something like:
1) Make list of first, second and third tier blogs. Here're some examples
----1st = Entrepreneur.com
----2nd = NeilPatel.com, Saastr.com or Okdork.com
----3rd = 33charts.com
2) Find the contact information of the go to person. Try looking on their staff portion first ← Bonus points if you train someone in this. We're going to be doing a LOT of cold contacting so it wouldn't be a good use of your time.
3) Take one of their most popular pieces of content and turn it into a high quality whiteboard video with our artistic team. I'm talking RSA animate quality.
----Could make it a "this article is 60 Seconds" kind of thing OR a top notch summary.
----Get a voiceover artist to read through this that's going to make it sound natural, not stiff. Don't be afraid to toss in some other methods than whiteboard if need be (like screenshots or little animation bits).

Bonus: Handle all Adwords tweaks

This is more of a maintenance component. You'd tackle optimizing bids, trying new ad copy, you know the drill. It should only be 2-3 hours per month.

If all this goes well, 3-months from now you'll. . .

Start a company blog
--http://blog.whiteboardgeeks.com

You'll work with us to
--Create some hot and juicy lead magnets
--Put up the case studies in an easy to consume, image friendly format
--Find a few go-to copywriters to put together some great, 1,500-3,000 word content (or even contract it out to yourself and get paid a bit extra for the writing!)

Now if all of this sounds like something you'd be interested in...

How Would Do You Know You're Doing Great Work... Or If You're Going to Get Fired?

You know you're on track if...
--You're finishing case studies and turning them into white papers created (at least 3 in 30 days)
--The number of new leads each month is increasing
--You're getting at least 10% positive responses from cold emails
--The videos you're sending out are getting used -- even if the prospect doesn't hire us for more work.

You'll Love Working Here If...
--You love blogs like Quicksprout, Videofruit and KISS Metrics
--You're used to making up for a small budget with hustle
--Have some basic coding chops (if you don't know what a div is, you're going to need to get caught up).

You'll Hate Working Here If. . .
--You're used to having a huge budget (we only spend about $10k per month on marketing)
--You need someone to hold your hand
--You're a branding marketer (we need a direct response marketer)
--You flake out when telecommuting (there're no timesheets; it's all deadline oriented)

How To Apply:
--Send me your favorite Bryan Harris formula, Neil Patel blog post or Dan Kennedy book and tell me why you like it. conversiongeekshiring@gmail.com

I don't mean to intrude on your thread but I would suggest a slightly different focus. It is easy to find information out there saying great things about one video type over another BUT that really does not do anything to convince them to buy from you. Even if you get them to realize white board is better than PowerPoint they will simply go off and price shop. The educator rarely ends up being the provider without more of a hook.

I would add value by stating the obvious that yes white board video gets watched more etc.. BUT our copy, our quality and the advice we will give you in creating lead magnets, structuring your site and overall message etc.. is why you should by from us.

"We believe in helping businesses get more clients and make more money using the internet. We just happen to do that by creating the best whiteboard videos. Learn how here..."
