Your budget is way too low for competent articles from US writers.

I made $100 for 600 words for technical content writing, and after awhile it wasn't worth my time any longer.

If you want high quality content people will actually read and respect your site for, raise your rates. Doesn't have to be $100 but to attract a good writer you should be at the $10-20 range minimum.

What this guy said!

$3 is almost insulting to writers who take pride in their content.

If you want to pay that little, why not just go to Fiverr and you'll find 100s of people offering articles for that rate, sometimes 2 x 500 Articles for $5 but you'll get nothing that's even close to being worthy of publishing on a site.

Surely that is a typo. Right? You need to pay around 10x that much per article to get content that people will actually read.

I agree. You'll find starving writers on Textbroker, although you might also get non-native speakers. You will definitely need to up it to $20+ to get consistently competent content that's worth anyone's time.

Good grief. That pay translates into $1.50 per page, based on 250 words per page. And the quality of the end product is to be so excellent that it results in viral marketing.

Oh boy.

Writing, editing and proofing rates for professionals -- which is the group that you seem to want to attract for that quality work -- are found online at: EFA: Resources: Editorial Rates

That said, I assume you have established this "budget" because you are lacking funds. That means you will have only a few options:

* yes, Fiverr, although you will get what you pay for, as the saying goes
* contact a local university journalism school and inquire about internships or work-study opportunities. I taught for 11 years in schools of journalism at two universities. We were often looking for real life work experiences for our junion/senior students. That said, they are students. Only one or two in a class are truly A students. Get connected with faculty members who can connect you with students.
* There's an Upward Bound program for Indians (PC Native Americans -- but they prefer being called Indians). Those programs also look for writing opps for work-study or internship situations.
* Do you have something you can add to your offer? Something you can trade? If you are lacking money, maybe you have a skill that you can offer that is worth money to someone.

Best wishes..
