Hi there, How many millions exactly are you talking about. Can you give a little more information? Thanks.

So, it seems like you have a large amount of records in Excel. In the millions, if I am reading this correctly. Have you considered transferring these records to a Database? SQL Databases handle redundancy a lot better, and could probably prevent future redundancies from popping up. I might be able to help you out, but i'd probably need a few more specifics on what your current situation is.

wow lot of offers for a likely simple soultion...
i will write it if it were a mysql table... if not let me know...i will re write...
im assuming you are using some form of a client to look at you data....

when you initially inserted the data in the table if you did not create a primary auto-enumerated field usually 'id' you will want to alter or edit the table and add a column 'id'. you will want to make sure that the id column is "Auto Enumerated"

if this colunm already exists great...

you are going to have to replace the table and any columns names, but

replace all `table` with your table nale
all `Phone #~ with the name of the phone number column
make sure you have an id column

UPDATE `table` SET `Phone #` = NULL
WHERE `table`.`id` NOT IN
(SELECT MIN(t.`id`) as `id` FROM (SELECT * FROM table) t GROUP BY t.`Phone #` ORDER BY t.`id` DESC)
