Mind maps can be used for brainstorming just getting all of the ideas about a topic or project down on paper. The can be used instead of outlines or to help you make an outline. The advantage is you don't have to get things in the right order the first time. They can be added. They can be used to show a complex concept in a concise way. It's up to you and you imagination. I could see been being used for product reviews, user manuals, site maps, showing action steps, or organizing posts on a blog I'm not a very linear thinker. I think "Oh, I need to include this and then how about this" I put those as nodes into mind map and then its easier for me select the order I want them in. Its also easier for me to figure out missing pieces. Hope this gives you some ideas |
